{ORION}
I stare at the wall behind Helena's head. She has her face pressed to my chest, and our arms and legs are wrapped snug around each other as our ragged breathing evens out.
A single thought plays through my mind.
This was a mistake.
I knew it before I kissed her—or before she kissed me—but that didn't stop me.
Now what?
My mind might not know what to do now, but my body doesn't have the same problem. I feel myself hardening inside her again.
I ease myself away from her, but I don't pull out of her snug heat. Sleeping with her was a mistake, but that doesn't mean I didn't love every second of it.
She peers up at me through sated, sleepy hazel eyes that fill with wariness the longer I observe her in silence.
She knows I'm getting ready to tell her this was a mistake, and she's bracing herself for it.
I should get up, drag some clothes on, and spend some time outside this cabin, reminding myself why this was the worst thing I could have done.
