Chapter 123 - I'm afraid of being that kind of guy

" I should've burned the bodies. All of them."

Jun-ho thought as he drove.

In the backseat, Salin laughed at something Thomas said. Laughed. And that laugh pressed down on Jun-ho's chest in a way he knew all too well.

He could've told Thomas to shut up. Could've pulled Salin to the front seat. Closer to him. But he didn't.

The rearview mirror betrayed him. And Thomas knew. He winked at him, just to provoke. Jun-ho saw it. Swallowed hard. A click of the tongue was all he let slip, just enough for Thomas to know he was playing with fire, not enough to get burned.

Salin wasn't blind. And that made it worse.

As soon as they got to the Goden parking lot, someone rushed to Jun-ho.

— Sir, it's urgent.

His eyes darkened.

— I'll be right back.

Cold. No details.

Salin nodded, but he noticed, Jun-ho was holding a small knife.

"Had it been on him the whole time?"

Salin wanted to follow. But didn't move. Thomas and Jaeho stopped him instantly.

— Jun-ho doesn't want you to see it.
