That night, Salin was rolling around in bed, smiling while talking to Lucas on the phone.
Jun-ho was taking off his shirt, pretending not to care.
— What are you laughing at?
— I just remembered the IT guy calling me "lucky."
— Want me to break his arm?
— No. Just lock me in a room tomorrow.
Jun-ho paused, smirked.
— Room 2B's camera is busted. I was gonna fix it, but now…
— I'll bring my coffee there.
Right then, Jun-ho got it.
He liked this. The teasing, the chaos, the way Salin made everything feel more alive.
He remembered: Salin had been honest from the start. Defended him in front of other factions, bit his neck in front of allies and employees, hugged him in front of enemies.
"You're mine" Salin would say, loud and clear.
That's how it was supposed to be. He owed him honesty, not lies.
