Chapter 4 - chapter 4

Welcome all you who have come in pursuit of strength, knowledge and status. I am Lord valor of Clan Drakos of the 4 great monarch clans. To my left is Lady Hana of clan Ryuise. And to my right is sir Draven of Clan Thronheart. And to his right is lady Zaria of clan Ansel. Like many years before the clans send us to welcome you new learners into this great school. You are now entering our world full of endless knowledge and power. Now go and show us what new additions and adventures you'll add to our world. Those words left a mark on my heart for the first time in my life. I felt like my destiny was in my own hands. Everyone erupted into a loud cheer around me and Ro. I turned to look at Ro with a smile. He did the same. soon the 4 lords retracted into the darkness and everyone was directed to a door that opened into another hall. This was going be to the most important place I would go to today. This was where the new students would choose their path. The reason this school is so heavily renowned because it offers an almost endless variety of paths. Nothing is

Unattainable here. This school being open to the public is almost insane. But there is a requirement to go here, one that not many people are willing to go through with. And that's becoming an officer and giving 15 years of your life to that system. For someone like me this decision was the easiest i've ever made. But for everyone up here the world is a big place and there are other academies that teach academics without that price. Not nearly to the extent as here, but enough to live comfortably. But walking into this space being around the people who chose to come here. I understand the difference between these people here and the mundane people. Everyone here is a fighter, despite their young age; now that the cheers and laughs and excitement were dying down, I could feel the energy, the eagerness, the competitive-ness building in everyone entering the hall. It didn't feel suffocating or even dangerous, it felt somehow exhilarating and infectious. I smiled again as we all entered the second hall. This hall was even bigger than the last; the walls were lined with book shelves and stands with various items on display. The walls were brown, lined with gold and red. The wide line we all walked into broke out as we spilled into the hall. There were at most 30 stands with butler-dressed men and women; these stands where we would pick our curricula. I was eager to choose, but I stopped myself. Ro couldn't do the same; he dashed ahead in a random direction with a flimsy grin on his face. I let out a slow sigh and rubbed my forehead. He would be fine I guess right now I had to make a decision what exactly did I want to learn here and what was my goal.
