Chapter 10 - To The World of darkness (Part 2)

The lightning bolt that fell extremely fast gradually slowed down, almost as if it were taking its time to reach the ground. But when it was about to touch the ground, the lightning bolt stopped, seeming shy, as if it were giving the earth a little kiss, then the lightning bolt touched the ground.

The thunder spread quickly across the ground like a strong tide of water.

Azrael, awakening from his slumber, ran away from the enormous lightning bolt.

"Where is the storm cloud?! I don't see any around here!" Azrael shouted as he fled from the enormous lightning bolt.

At the same time, loud bangs began to be heard, the sound of the walls became more evident, and fragments of glass began to fall from the sky. Azrael raised his arms, trying to protect himself from the falling glass.

At the same time, a blue glow behind him grew stronger and stronger. Azrael quickened his pace as he ran, his feet becoming more and more mangled. Every time his foot hit the ground, it shattered, and the broken glass tore his feet apart. Even though he increased his speed, the lightning was getting closer, the light was becoming much more intense, Azrael did not look back to see what was happening, he just concentrated on running until the light disappeared from behind him.

Faced with this event, he looked back curiously, at the same time regretting that he had stopped and not continued running.

The dancing lightning bolts moved across the ground as if it were water, bouncing like balls and spreading several kilometers underground as if the glass were a high-quality electrical conductor.

In the distance, there was a cloud of glass dust. That large cloud of dust made of glass began to sparkle with electric arcs, but there was a force that consumed the lightning bolt and the surrounding lightning bolts. Each and every one of the electric flashes was absorbed by that force, and through that cloud of dust, Azrael could make out a large figure beginning to glow, those two eyes shining as brightly as two large headlights.

The two large headlights stared at him through the cloud, and perhaps it was an illusion on Azrael's part, but he felt them smile at him.

"... No, it can't be true?" Azrael smiled nervously as he took a step back, but just then.

Like lightning itself, such a heavy being moved like light itself, and its large fist struck Azrael's body, sending him flying toward the large glass wall, shattering it with the force of the blow. Azrael covered his body the moment he realized he had crashed through a large glass wall. The glass cut his clothes and flesh, but the chains remained intact, protecting his body somewhat from the pieces of glass that could have cut his hands and feet in half.

Azrael felt his whole body ache. It wasn't just a little pain; this time he felt several of his ribs broken, some of his bones fractured, and his muscles torn. With all that going on, he still got up. His experience in space rifts fighting other alien beings had taught him an important lesson.

Don't stop, because if he stop, he would die.

Even though his only ability was healing, with no offensive abilities whatsoever, he had survived many confrontations before.

"This time will be no different," Azrael smiled, and his hands grabbed the chains. His body swayed as he looked directly at the golem, who was waiting for him to get up to attack him again.

"Little one, fool, silly fool." The golem's great voice boomed like threatening thunder as its gaze fixed on him.

Azrael clenched the chains in his hands, ready to use them as a weapon against the golem. Perhaps these chains could be somewhat cumbersome to move around in, but Azrael, as the bearer of these chains, knows perfectly well their strength and weight, and he knows that a few blows will not damage them.

Then, the moment the golem saw him ready to fight, it moved with the same speed as before, its large fist ready to strike his body.

Azrael couldn't see it, but that wasn't a problem. His refined fighting instincts immediately warned him of the impending blow. So, without knowing where the blow would land, he quickly moved to the side, hoping that he wasn't moving his body directly into his enemy's blow.

Fortunately for him, as he moved to the right, a huge fist measuring a meter appeared on his left.

When the golem saw that its fist had not struck Azrael, it let out an annoyed snort and then raised its fist again. Its movements were extremely fast, impossible for a normal human without mana to follow with the naked eye.

Azrael, noticing the golem's fist appearing above him, quickly ducked backward. As he moved away, he felt something fast and hard brush against the soles of his feet.

"It's faster," Azrael noticed as he dodged the golem's movements again. At that moment, he had to dodge another of its blows, but this time he felt that it not only touched him, but that if there had been just a split second more, the blow would have hit him completely. "No, it's not faster, it's just getting used to its speed."

Quickly, Azrael, instead of dodging, moved between its arms, reaching the golem's back, where he could move his chains more easily. During the golem's blows, Azrael moved his chains so that they would not become entangled in the golem's limbs. At first, they were entangled with the golem's fists, so if he tried to move them to attack, they would not be able to move because of the golem's limbs. So when the golem struck him, he moved his arms to pull the chains away from the golem.

When he reached the golem's back, he took advantage of his short run and immediately moved his chains, causing these heavy chains to begin to generate momentum so he could lift them and attack.

"It's still not enough." Azrael immediately began to run, and the chains became lighter due to the momentum generated by his running, but they were still heavy and difficult to move. He even felt a little exhausted, but he couldn't rest now; if he did, he was sure he would be dead.

Besides...

"That stupid angel must have already seen that I'm in trouble and hasn't helped me yet. Damn angel, I swear I'll put laxatives in your food when we get to a city and run away from you," he thought angrily as he continued running.

The chains collided with each other, both the chains connecting his feet and his hands collided, and even though he wanted to use both chains, he only concentrated on one, the one connecting his hands. So while he ran, the golem didn't just stand there watching his prey escape, so he started running after him and hitting him.

Azrael had to dodge, momentarily losing his momentum, but he still managed to make the chains move faster and faster. After a while of playing cat and mouse with the golem,

Azrael stopped and swung his chains in a circular attack, but the chains missed the golem due to a miscalculation.

The golem's face twisted in annoyance as it saw Azrael's chains pass in front of its face. It saw that he wanted to hit it, and that made it even more furious than it already was. So, with its annoyance building, it charged at Azrael at full speed.

Azrael, annoyed, smiled with amusement.

"Now he's running in one direction. If everything goes well, I'll be able to land a blow. After that, I'll just have to resist his counterattack." Azrael took advantage of the momentum and swung the chains in the air to strike the golem.

With a psychopathic laugh, he looked at the golem in front of him, and at the same time, the chains were about to strike, so he forcefully directed them at the golem's head.

But then Azrael's smile disappeared and his face darkened.

"It has been detected that the enemy has no malicious intent. Cease and desist from attacking your enemy."

"What do you mean it has no malicious intent?! I'm sure that was a blow and not a loving caress!" Azrael did not obey and continued to force the chain to fall on the golem's head, while the golem's fist came closer and closer to Azrael's face.

|Cease and desist from attacking|

'No.'

|Cease and desist from attacking!|

'No!'

|Taking action against the user|

'???' Azrael felt himself losing consciousness and collapsing to the ground. His body began to convulse while the golem missed its blow because Azrael had fainted.

The golem frowned and looked at Azrael with an annoyed look, but did not take advantage of his now vulnerable state. But like a curious child, it tapped Azrael's body with its glass hand, curious to know if he was alive or not.

"Fool?" The golem turned its head to the side, wondering what was wrong with him. "Fool, dead, are you?" It hit his body again, curious to know if he was still breathing.

At that moment, an angel appeared beside Azrael as he looked on curiously, unaware that Azrael had reached the front of the Tree of Hope. Having arrived, she could intervene, so she came to mediate with the golem.

x-x-x

Azrael woke up immediately, and the first thing he did was feel his body. He touched himself all over, feeling to see if anything was missing, but he felt no pain and no broken bones, which seemed almost impossible to him. The golem's blow had been swift, and he was sure that even if he had fainted, that blow would have shattered him and perhaps left him disabled in every way.

"Am I healed?" Azrael wondered, looking at his hands. He could feel a little stiffness in his body and quickly discovered why he was now fine. "Did that stupid angel finally interfere?"

Unlike Azrael's ability, Gabriel did not have an innate healing ability. Instead, she injected the power of Faith into Azrael's body for the purpose of healing him.

The energy of Faith is a gentle power, and not many can possess it. It must be understood that their power of Faith is not like the power of Divine Faith, which belongs to the Gods who use Faith to become stronger. The power of angelic Faith is a gentle power that does no harm. Not many can accumulate it, and those who can must follow certain important criteria, something that Azrael clearly does not meet, because if he did, his power of Faith would have grown long ago and he would be able to use his healing ability without any problem.

"You're finally awake." Gabriel looked at him with a smile and approached him. A few meters away from him stood the enormous, furious crystal golem, its body having returned to its previous purple hue and no longer shining brightly.

"..."

Azrael and the golem exchanged unfriendly glances.

"He's upset because you called him stupid, so he came to make you apologize," Gabriel said, pointing at the golem.

"He came to kill me?"

"To make you apologize, apologize! I won't say it again, so to calm the golem down, apologize," Gabriel said, looking sternly at Azrael.

"So what about all those blows and all that fighting we just had?"

"I don't know," Gabriel shrugged indifferently. "He has no malice toward you, he's just upset. Maybe the blows are how he and his kind make you apologize. Humans are a more fragile race than theirs, so their ways are different from yours," Gabriel replied as he looked at the Golem.

"Me, no, you, fool, and, little one, me, smart, and, big," the Golem said forcefully as he looked angrily at Azrael.

Azrael looked at the Golem with a complicated look, but not a single word came out of his mouth with clear intentions that he would not apologize to the Golem for his actions. Because of the way he spoke, he still believed that the golem was a fool. Even though it could speak and show signs of intelligence, for him that was still not enough.

"You still think he's a fool after everything he's done for you?" Gabriel raised his eyebrow, but at the same time it was something he had already expected. "Just apologize, it won't kill you to apologize to him."
