[ Chapter VIII (8): "CHOOSING THE FOR HONOR CHAMPION" ]

[ Remember, no Russian ]

[ "Woah, woah, woah. Makarov." ] Arthur paused the game he is playing, and could notice one certain Player in his peripheral. A blonde haired, certain most famous speedster in the Realm of DC, perhaps even comics as a whole— Buried Alie- Barry Allen.

I.e. the first official player of UTOPIA, Gardener, and now someone that has his 12 hours daily limit lifted off of him. As he walks off from the pillar of light, which is called the Spawner; one that Arthur immediately noticed, as he has been waiting for him for a while now.

For about 12 hours now, waiting for that gaming limit feature that he added to expire. Especially because, yesterday he was about to make Barry Allen, the Flash, his For Honor Champion before the gaming limit hit, but the limit hit which caused the process to halt and for Mr. Allen who's nonethewiser to get pulled out from the game...

This quickly made Arthur sight in frustration, as he then went back to playing his computer games. But now... That certain limit doesn't have any hold onto his Player at the moment, as this individual is his first-ever and only connection to the DC Universe from memory. [ "Finally!" ]

Arthur quickly noticed Barry, the blonde haired boy talking and waving to the other present Players, and also to the sentient Plants that has grown bigger compared to when he was previously online. As he then smiles at them, before then a circular blue pattern under him appeared with him not noticing the certain anomaly.

[ WOULD PLAYER WANT TO USE THE CHAMPION SELECTION LVL. 1 (ABILITY), ON BARTHOLOMEW HENRY "BARRY" ALLEN (PLAYER NO. 1)? ]

But one that others quickly took note of, as the Wallnut nearby glanced at it, causing the firmly planted sitting Plant to make noise, catching the attention of the said Player; [ "Hey, buddy, what's up...?" ]

Barry noticed the Peashooter besides the Wallnut point at Barry's feet using his mouth... He glanced down and immediately noticed a peculiar blue circle, akin to that of when certain objects appeared from out of nowhere, as they then turned into something. The Garden is one key example.

[ "What's... this?" ] He confused, but in seeing what it was, became assured, as it plausibly and most likely came from the Creator of this universe. The one they theorized to be akin to God, if not, then someone really-really powerful, and one that has been guiding them and the Plants.

And also could plausibly be the one who created the Plants, the one where all talking, smiling, and cheery Sunflower, Peashooter, and Wallnut came from, as proven by the System Quest that they sometimes receive...

That may be true, most possibility as it's the only theory he has at the moment. But he still couldn't understand, what does the letters "GoG" mean? The one engraved in the middle of the circle. The UTOPIA on the bottom he understands, but the "GoG"? He doesn't know a single thing about it.

About to touch the light on the ground, Barry was quickly placed in a shock, as the other Players also notice his peculiar problem at hand. [ "Hey, Allen, you doing alright buddy?" ] One of the Players asked in concern.

[ "Yeah, I'm doing gre-" ] Responding to this, Barry was stopped mid-sentence as he then gets envelopes completely by light... Blue light, one-to-one with the iconic light that comes from the System/Arthur.

As at the moment, Arthur just confirmed his selection, having clicked yes, after reading an extensive amount of information before being allowed to use his first and only Developer Class Skill... He had read it previously, extensively really, so he didn't have to read it again, as it'll be useless and a waste of precious time. He quickly agreed, and in doing so, Mr. Allen, the official first Player of UTOPIA, was chosen.

As what? As The For Honor Game's Player Champion of course, the world that Arthur created, extensively did so, having spent huge amount of Credits at that. Which is pitiful to the daily amount he is currently earning from the Plants just existing.

Still it stands, that he did spent a huge amount of shit Credits to create the For Honor Game... one that caused him great amount of pain. And he even upgraded it for his one and only Champion at the moment, spent days in doing so and some Credits which made him suck in air...

He then glanced at the newly created videofeed of Barry teleporting into the starting point, one that he intentionally created for the For Honor Champion i.e. for Barry and the other future Champions if given the opportunity to have more...

He didn't bought a new Avatar for him, or even gave any upgrades due to limitations, as at the moment Mr. Barry Allen is just wearing his plain grey jumpersuit in the middle of a field. But he made sure to litter the For Honor World with items that he could easily find, either from the Knight, Samurai, or Viking Faction...

As he'll definitely need all of them, especially because he'll need to suffer for Arthur and the Realm of UTOPIA to prosper. With no other way out, unless he does and goes along with this, [ "Good luck... Mr. Flash." ]

...

[ "-at...!" ] Smiling at his friend, Barry paused when his everything changed. The view in front of him changing from the Paradise wherein Plants and Players live in peace, to a giant unfamiliar open-field of grass; cows being seen on the distance, as he then gets confused. [ "I'm... not." ]

[ "Where am I?" ] Confused, he stared around, then at the manure nearby that reeks of smell. The foulest smell that he has ever smelt in the UTOPIA Realm, or wherever this is... If this is even UTOPIA anymore, [ "Hello?!" ]

He momentarily glanced at what he was wearing, and still could see his grey jumpsuit. One that he hadn't taken off, for about 60 hours in total or more, ever since he has gotten into this world everytime he sleeps or is bored.

[ "I'm... I'm still in UTOPIA, r-right?" ] Worried, Barry could attest that this isn't the weirdest thing that has happened to him. He did got hit by lightning, causing chemicals to spill onto him, giving him powers i.e. the ability to move super fast at the cost of getting hungry all the time.

The negative effect something that has been cured by him sleeping and entering the UTOPIA Realm, or Universe... That sure is weird, but this... this is beyond weird, as he now stands on an nearly empty grassfield, the sun glaring at him from right above; seemingly smiling or something.

Very unlike the artifical sun that the Paradise has for Plants, in the Garden. Instead this one is similar, or even much more intense than the sunlight he gets in the afternoon, whenever he gets out of the house in the "real" world, on Earth.

[ "Okay... So, uhh- this is definitely still UTOPIA, not... Earth, I think?" ] He kept questioning himself, as he lowers his eyelids against the sun, covering his eyes from it, from getting burnt as he scans all-around him. Which causes him to have difficulty in seeing just about right.

Not seeing anything noteworthy, other than of course the sheeps and the cows nearby, some also very-very far-away, all doing about their own thing; eating or walking. [ "This is so-so... weird." ]

...

[ "Knight, Samurai, or Viking... What will you choose Mr. Allen?" ] Arthur surrounded by trash and empty cups of noodles could be seen staring curiously at the floating videofeed in front of him, right beside that is the whole map of the For Honor Earth digitalized plainly shown to him.

In it has currently about 3 biomes in it, each one having about a Faction residing, with the land distributed to a Faction. On the right is the Myre, a green thick forest biome wherein trees grows in the size of castles— the home of the Samurai Faction.

On the left is the home of the Knight Faction, which rivals in size compared to the homes of the Knights. This land is barren, orange in color, as it is home and territory of the noble Knights— also called as Ashfeld. On the top on the other hand...

Is a snowy biome, wherein harsh cold weather besiege anyone who lives in there, attached to the land of the Knights, this is considered smallest, if you don't include the fact that other parts of this biome is cracked. This is the land of the brutal Vikings, the ones Arthur hates, also called as Valkenheim.

The Myre. The Ashfeld. The Valkenheim, all 3 of those lands is currently at war with one another, reasons? Because they are neighbors. And also because Arthur wanted for them to be at war, he designed it as that.

Currently at the moment, Barry Allen, the Flash, the Player No. 1 and sole Champion of Arthur in this godforsaken game he created, is currently stranded in-between a field wherein he could choose to either be a Knight, a Samurai, or a Viking.

It depends on where he chose to go. On the North wherein the raiding Vikings reside, on the West wherein the noble Knights reside, or on the East wherein the disciplined Samurais reside. His choice, as this is literally based on luck.

Arthur painstakingly went and codded the World of For Honor to include this, and for it to appear as a full-time world rather than a game wherein, a single land is loaded with everything on freeze. No, this time, everything is moving, everything is dynamic, just like Earth...

As even though the people residing there are NPCs, they are still thinking, thus they are about 90% human in Arthur's eyes. Now especially, because Mr. Barry Allen is currently living there, soon-to-be interacting with them... Good luck to him.

It has been some time since the Players entered UTOPIA, since they planted the Plants for Arthur's passive income to start. He used this fact, and the Credits that filled his wallet to code the For Honor World. Credits disappeared in exchange to that, some things changed.

The For Honor Earth or to be more precise the Region of Hoobamon where the 3 lands occupies, now works 24/7 without Arthur needing to login inside for it to work...

In exchange to that Credits burn in his wallet, something he doesn't mind, especially because he earns more than he burns, through the passive income.

And also because he could always earn more by buying more seedlings, letting the Players— Gardeners, to take care of them, which he doesn't do at the moment, still is waiting for the second round of Players which he'll do later, after Barry chose a Faction...

Talking about Faction, he should really get going to that, he really needs to guide his Player. As at the moment, he needs to give him a specialized Quest... Something-something similar to the one he gets whenever he starts a Campaign.

Even though Barry still hasn't decided to go to any direction, and is instead trying to pet a cow which is running away from him. Arthur, as the Game Developer and ultimate ruler of this Realm, i.e. the Creator, he still needs to anticipate every decision his first-ever Player makes.

So, depending on what direction Barry goes, he'll either received a Quest Chain relating to the Knights, Samurais, or Vikings. The decision to join which Faction would ultimately be on him, as on the way there, Arthur would create scenarios for him to level-up in.

But at the moment, he first needs to write texts in the System-like tone for when Barry finally decided to spot any one of the structures tha each Faction has.

Either be a ruined castle for the Knights, a shipwreck containing loot for the Vikings, or a destroyed carriage belonging to the Samurais. It'll be on him, Arthur just needs to wait and see what's up.

But at the moment, he seems to have a bias towards the Knights. As compared to the other structures, he created the ruined castle nearest to the spawn. As he is after all a Knight Player. [ "Please, pick Knights." ]
