Eyes furrowed, Duncan walked after his mother. With each step, his feet grew heavier and heavier, until he felt he needed to address the Olifent in the room. "Mom, why didn't you tell the people what we found. I'm pretty sure if we told the counc–"
"Enough Duncan! I know what would happen. But even if we did reveal, the traitors, or traitors, would've realised that we knew more than they realised. And plus, have you realised the implications if they were warned..."
He stopped in his tracks, as the Status of the prisoner flashed through his eyes:

Remembering the Status gave Duncan a headache. "Why didn't you tell them that the Human was a part of the Bloodthirst Tower!? For an operation of this magnitude, they won't have dispatched only one assassin! We need to tell them now, otherwise who knows how many of our people they will har–"
"Enough! I know that you care about us (even though you ditched your poor mother alone for 50 years, boohoo!), but think for a second: What would they do if we told everyone that we know they're here? They'll probably, no, most likely, plan and eliminate a few of us to keep us in line, while they make their escape. And don't forget about the traitors! If we reveal this to the council, the traitors would be the first ones to notify their collaborators what we have found. Where do you think this will lead us? Back to first place!"
For the first time in forever, Duncan saw his mother, mad as hell. Unable to comprehend the sight, he stood in place, shocked, mouth agape. Is this how she looks when she's serious!?
Coming from the back, Titus comforted Duncan. "Don't be surprised. All rulers are humans. They also have personal needs and wants as well..."
Finally realising why she acted this way for years, he shook his head with a sad smile, before catching up to his mother...

Gritting his teeth, the Elf makes his way downstairs to his cellar. On the way, the maids and butlers all strafe to the side, fear etched on their faces.
Un-fucking-believable! How dare she HOW DARE SHE! How dare she ruin my plan for conquering the Elf Kingdom! Damn Varafyr, I thought he said his collaborator was perfect! But that fool got himself caught, nearly outing us all! I shall give him an earful once I reach him...
Closing the large door behind him, the Elf checks his surroundings, before unveiling a mirror as tall as a wall.
But it was no ordinary mirror
Wires of all sizes twirled around the edges, weaving in and out of the mirror. Small crystal orbs pulsated light every so often, flashing red and green. A small box could be seen to a side humming as it provided power to the dastardly device.
With a push of a button, the Elf turned on the mirror, now revealed to be a monitor. Waiting anxiously, he tapped his foot away, hoping that Varafyr answers as quickly as possible. Once he saw some flames erupting from the background, he began his tirade.
"Oi, flamehead, you told me that our plan was foolproof, and that we could trust our collaborator. But look at what they did! Arsehole revealed themselves, bealry throwing everything away because of his carelessness. The only reason why I wasnt caught was because they haven't found out who the 'traitor' is. Now, if you would, could you please tell them–"
"No need to panic, my dear...'friend'. We were already prepared for the eventual invasion, no sorry, 'liberation', of the Kingdom, but our partner here wanted more Elves for his...'research'...purposes. Since we've been found out already, I shall deliver this...devastating...news myself. Either way, it does not hamper our collaboration in any way or form. We shall commence within 5 days. Prepare yourself well, my dear...
Friend
Ahahahahah..."
With that, the fiery 6-horned Demon laughed uproariously, infecting the Elf with its mirth.
"Ahahahah! Yes, soon the Kingdom will be mine..."
