What is a trapped dragon?
It is rumored that snakes possess a method to transform into dragons: after a hundred years, they become pythons; after five hundred years, they become Qiu serpents; after another five hundred years, they turn into Jiao-Dragons; and after a thousand years, they ascend as Divine Dragons, and so forth.
Timing, location, and harmony of forces are indispensable.
During this process, snakes that originally hid in caves, as their bodies grew larger, would find themselves unable to exit the cave, trapped by the terrain and assimilated with the mountain peaks around them.
Such dragons are also called "trapped dragons."
