After dealing with Lady Octopus, Spider-Ham turned to check on Shadow Spider-Man.
Shadow Spider-Man was surrounded by a gang of criminals, struggling to hold his ground.
"Hey, buddy, I'm coming to help!"
Spider-Ham charged in with his tiny wooden hammer. The gangsters were caught off guard by this sudden reinforcement, unable to react in time. In mere moments, Spider-Ham had sent them flying in all directions, allowing Shadow Spider-Man to focus solely on his formidable opponent.
Meanwhile, Gwen transformed into Ghost-Spider and engaged in a fierce rooftop chase against the Prowler. The two figures moved like the wind, leaping across uneven rooftops, occasionally exchanging blows.
Suddenly, the Prowler lost his footing and fell into a building.
Without hesitation, Gwen followed suit and dived in after him.
Inside, the Prowler immediately destroyed his earpiece and put away his weapons.
"Wait a second, I mean no harm. Those two Spider-Men have been injected with a neuro-muscular blocker; they can't move right now. In a moment, knock me in their direction, and use that chance to save them."
He spoke quickly.
"Why should I trust you?" Gwen eyed him warily, her web-shooters ready.
The Prowler removed his mask, revealing the face of a Black man.
"I'm that Spider-Man's uncle. Please, I've made countless mistakes, but that kid knows nothing about them. Help me save him."
His eyes were filled with guilt and desperate pleading.
The moment he realized one of the Spider-Men was his nephew, his heart nearly stopped.
"Alright!"
Gwen hesitated but ultimately nodded.
Without wasting time, they quickly adjusted their positions. The Prowler spread his arms, bracing for impact.
"Activate electro-shock mode, level three."
[Command authorized.]
Instantly, Gwen's boots crackled with electricity. The wooden floor beneath her charred and sparked, filling the air with a burnt odor.
Gulp.
The Prowler swallowed nervously. "Wait, we're just putting on an act—do you really need to go this far?!"
His voice trembled slightly, and cold sweat formed on his forehead.
But Gwen was already in motion, delivering a spinning kick to his chest.
With a thunderous crash, the wall exploded, sending debris flying in all directions.
Like a cannonball, the Prowler—now coursing with electricity—was sent hurtling towards the criminals holding the two Spider-Men hostage.
Gwen followed closely behind.
Like a bowling ball striking pins, the Prowler smashed through the gangsters, sending them sprawling. The electricity he carried surged outward, crackling in arcs of blue lightning that zapped everyone nearby.
The gangsters convulsed in pain, their weapons clattering to the ground. Their faces contorted in agony and shock.
Gwen, unaffected, swiftly shot out two webs, latching onto the paralyzed Spider-Men. With a firm tug, she yanked them back into the building.
The Prowler watched his nephew escape, his face showing relief before he could no longer hold on and passed out.
The pain was excruciating—at least five of his bones were broken!
As Gwen secured the hostages, Shadow Spider-Man finished off Tombstone and praised her. "Nicely done, Ghost-Spider."
"It wasn't all me," Gwen admitted, glancing at the battered Prowler in the distance, feeling a little guilty.
She had originally thought that even if this guy was tricking her, it would still be one less enemy to deal with. She hadn't expected him to genuinely be trying to help.
Meanwhile, Kingpin sat in his car, his expression dark and grim.
So many men, and they still couldn't take down a few Spider-People? Useless.
Kingpin's scowl deepened, his piercing gaze seemingly cutting through the car window to his failed subordinates.
"Pathetic."
He grabbed his phone and dialed a number forcefully.
"Goblin, capture Spider-Man's aunt."
"Understood. I told you this was the best move! Hahaha!" A sinister voice chuckled from the other end of the line.
From the thick clouds above, a green demon suddenly dived down.
Spreading his massive bat-like wings, he plunged toward the ground at terrifying speed, stirring up a violent gust of wind.
At that moment, the Spider-People's danger sense flared.
They all looked up—just in time to see the Green Goblin's trajectory.
"NO!!!"
Shouts of fear and rage erupted in unison.
With an earth-shattering crash, the Green Goblin smashed into the Spider-Base.
The impact obliterated the building, sending bricks and debris flying while dust clouds rolled through the air.
The Spider-People quickly recovered and rushed toward the ruined base, their figures darting through the rubble, their hearts filled with anxiety and dread.
Gwen was the first to arrive. She halted abruptly, hesitating to move forward.
Standing in the clearing was the Green Goblin, a monstrous figure towering at nearly twenty meters. His scales shimmered an eerie green, his black horns curved menacingly, and his blood-red eyes gleamed with malice. A massive pair of leathery wings stretched ominously behind him.
More terrifyingly, his enormous hands each held a hostage—Aunt May and Damian. Aunt May struggled frantically, but the Goblin's grip was unyielding.
Damian, however, was unconscious, a thin trickle of blood running down his forehead.
"Look what I found! A little mother spider! Hahaha!"
The Green Goblin's laughter echoed through the ruins, brimming with cruelty and provocation.
Gwen gritted her teeth, her fists clenching tightly. Yet, with Damian in the enemy's grasp, she dared not act rashly.
Her eyes were filled with worry as she looked at Damian's unconscious form.
One by one, the other Spider-People arrived—including Sweatpants Spider-Man and Miles.
Although they weren't in fighting condition, their regenerative abilities allowed them to move again.
Now gathered together, they all glared at the Green Goblin, their eyes burning with fury and determination.
"One... two... six Spider-People! Oh, I absolutely can't beat all of you. But tell me, why haven't you attacked yet?"
The Green Goblin sneered, shaking his hostages mockingly.
His grotesque face was twisted with arrogance and delight, savoring their frustration and helplessness.
"Let them go, Norman! If you have a problem, come for me instead!"
Sweatpants Spider-Man stepped forward, his brows furrowed as he stared the Goblin down.
He had battled Norman countless times and knew just how cunning and ruthless he was.
"Come for you? Sure. Hand over all your weapons first."
The Green Goblin's voice was filled with smugness.
The Spider-People hesitated, torn between surrendering their defenses and ensuring the safety of the hostages.
"Do you not care about them?"
The Goblin tightened his grip slightly.
Aunt May let out a pained groan, while Damian's eyes flickered open.
