Elara walked in with her head bowed. The maids looked at her with disdain as she got on her knees, her head still bowed.
"I know I've done wrong to you, your highness. I know you can't forgive me, but I just want to apologize; it was not my intention to come out in front of the King and the people to ridicule your position. You have been a great inspiration to me." She unclasped the jewelry slowly and held it in her spread hands to Genevieve. "I don't deserve this."
Genevieve walked closer to her and closed her hands gently. "I understand why you did that, it is because of your child."
She looked up at Genevieve, and tears dropped from her eyes slowly. "You have been so nice to me, but Lady Evelyne wanted to kill my daughter if I didn't do that. I was very scared and I made the wrong decision."
"You never chose the wrong decision, you chose the right one. Always choose your family over any other person. You did that and I'm proud of you."
