Penny didn't know what to say as she was enveloped in the soft glow of a Level up, looking at Leo as he basked in the afterglow of a bloody fight. Her hair was a mess. Twigs stuck out at odd angles, and a smudge of dirt clung to her cheek from when she had hit the ground trying to avoid that one wolf.
Leo wasn't even looking at anyone. His eyes were locked on the path ahead, chest rising and falling with deep, even breaths. Blood dripped from his claws and gauntlets, pooling quietly on the forest floor. His expression was unreadable, but calm. Focused. Not cold, just… distant.
Penny tilted her head. "So… that was kind of terrifying."
Leo blinked and finally glanced over his shoulder. "You okay?"
"I mean, emotionally? No. But I'm still standing."
