This is the night where it all become, ponyville folks is not the same folks 1000 years ago. But this day is celebrated differently on each town, and this night will hold a twist.
"Nightmare night, peculiar holiday." Luna sitting on her throne, as she was the main ruler of Equestria.
Some of herself appear from her, as they carry the will of Luna. "Present and not at the same time, hope you all have a good time." With this, they all vanish into shadows. With main Luna still on palace, patience.
Move on to ponyville, a lot of things happened.
Stardust, she wear just enough of it. "Halt, at last." A police hat, black uniform and a stoic face.
"Alright, last touch." A figure present as two arm and made her hair swirl, which is [This is what i have been recommend for you to always use, dear host.]
Nightmare night, where they celebrate the day after Nightmare moon's banishment. But this is merely a day of scare off, no less exciting than frighten everypony around with. Without exclusion, all of the alternaits have something for themself to wear on.
"I am not taking the credits, enjoying this night." Alterity walking down the streets without her glass, as her pupil was a permanent slit.
A cloth appear out of nowhere and outcomes Stardust, she wear the cloth as a cape.
"Great woven silk, thank you Alterity!" Alterity's eyelid was tweaking, she walk away.
Move into the Sky ranger i supose?
"Everypony, can leave and enjoy this night. But keep your keen eyes in tact, call reinforcement if the situation got out of hoof. Meeting dismissed." Green pegasi mare sigh as everypony present zoom out of clouds, TipStir as one of the influential figure among this sky ranger.
As there was bunch of clouds scattered everywhere, against the rules of ponyville to disperse the clouds. "Ugh, WHY?!"
TipStir scream, it make all animal in the woods startled.
TipStir went to ponyville and bid farewell to Derpy on the post before descend to the town. "Why is it already nightmare night?!"
As light thunder sound appear besides her, put her full agressive. Until she found out who that was, of course our yellow mare with a black suit on. "TipStiiiir, remember me?"
"Stardust, you appear less grumpy than you did." Stardust got that smile like she was very high, but she did no grass.
"Thank you, remember anyhing about the plot?"
TipStir pause, she respond with. "Princess Luna will come here, do silly things while shouting and some more." They both walk to the fountain, as there was bunch of ponies celebrating this nightmare night.
"But i fear, this night will be a total opposite from what i have recall." Stardust listen, as she pull an arrow with both of her hoof nails.
A thick fog of harmless magic appear, no trumpet or such whatsoever.
Outcomes a tall figure of alicorn with formal dress, black color with red acsent. Present a figure of the forgotten, Princess Luna.
Stardust jaw dropped immediately after she saw Luna, the arrow pierce trough the perfect point as her grip loosen. "Llllll-Luna?!" Her mind was blewn by how majestic she actually looks now, as everypony stare on her presence.
"Folks of ponyville, thank you for your attention." Luna stood there, with wings spread to the gound.
Everypony was scared shitless, they instantly duct down upon her arrival. Luna realised, she soften her voice more. "Be not afraid, as i no longer am Nightmare Moon."
TipStir and Stardust shivering, as their body remember being hurt by her.
"I have come here to change the tide of this holiday, as if my image was a mere monster that i cease to be."
Pinkie gasp and shouts, "SHE ADMIT IT! SHE WAS A MONSTER!" As herd of foals follow Pinkie's steps, Luna have no words to say. Mayor step up, alas being an example and act of unthinkable.
Mayor's gaze became cold, as she face Luna head on.
"Mayor of Ponyville, glad you understand my reasoning. Hope my wording is enough to understand, for the sake of children's ability to know who i really am." Mayor snap out of her cold gaze, took quite while for her to remember.
"Alright, your majesty. My apologies for my slow respond of things, as i have gotten old."
Her body still tremble over this interraction, but she did her best to do Luna's order. "Good night, Gals." We know an orange mare, wearing wholerobe and headwear. As both of the mare's eye are totally shut, confident in words and show no sign of fear.
"Princess, or may i correct Queen Luna." Luna pause for a moment, her gaze is not fixed to anything. "O- ha he, thank you for noticing. As this change of title was too subtle, Fount of Knowledge i supose?"
The mare clap the ground ith her hoof, as she never open her eyes. "It is always been an honor. So, perhaps i tell you the thing you desperately need to know about this day."
Luna step back, she said "Then tell me."
"Ponyville folks like to be scared, as i cannot show it myself. Find it out, arrivederci."
Mayor Stunned by how carefree that mare was, but Luna only got confused. As we switched back to the duo, now it was TipStir's turn to shoot.
It hit the 8 score, and Stardust close her eyes with total focus over it.
"Yes!" TipStir jump around, she nailed the shot out but less impressive than Stardust.
Sinister smirk fade into Stardust face, it demand another victim. "Done, hehe."
"What have you doing, Stardust?"
Stardust have no time to explain but pulling out a table, pencil, ruler, compass, and start drawing. It took a while, but it was a protective set of formal dress wear by Luna.
"But this design is just not that strong when they move on mach speed, so this is protective dress." She drew two pieve of headwear on luna's wide crown. "Or grimoire if you want to call it, carefully woven with little to no runes present as design."
TipStir examine Stardust costume cape, it was a red, white, and blue colored flag. 50 star, and no further explanation.
"Don't tell me, you came from America?" Stardust stop her sketch, she put her forehead on TipStir's. "I am Canadian, dare you have that conclusion."
Problem have not always solved in a story, yet this is.
"Oh, my bad. Then for what reason the America flag?" Stardust throw the flag and disappear into it, she was nowhere to be found.
"Tis' no Funny whithout Valentine." She appear above TipStir, evading her body. Land on the ground with a grace, Stardust pause. 'Hey, stardust. Mind if you meet us on the Nightmare Moon statue?'
'Sure, i bring TipStir with me too.'
As Stardust hold Tipstir while swinging the flag around, as they appear in front of the statue.
"Wait, where is the suprise?"
"Do i need to introduce myself, again?" Nightmare Moon appear behind the statue, menacing and collected. Both of our friend here get on stance, but TipStir aware this is just Luna.
She did looks majestic, even on her nightmare moon form.
"Oh, lower your agression. No need to be serious." So both of our friend lower their guard, make it less obvious that Nightmare Moon will appear at any time.
Soon, Zekora appear. Bunch of foals and Pinkie with her, she maintain an excited face of hers. Once, more.
"Nothing bad will happen, right?" Mist of thick nonlethal magic filled the area, her presence push the mist back for everypony to see.
"Stand ready for my arrival, Foals." This give goosebump to Stardust, sent her offguard in the first place.
Nightmare Moon stomp the ground once more, and said "You were given chances, you have give me a treat. Yet i see this event as a disgrace for your leader."
"As form of gratittude, i will finish you off with painless blow."
The soft mist turn pitch black, and all fo them faint.
Luna appear from the Nightmare Moon's remains, deeply apologise. "I am sorry, so sorry about this." Luna said to Stardust and TipStir, she totally never expect that.
Scratching her head, Stardust got a stroke of idea. "What if-"
Everypony present, waking up after that big suprise.
Learly, Luna took all the blame to herself. Yet, all they want is to feel alive with a killer who was able to kill. Not just a silly single touch to the writing.
TipStir decided to talk up. "Thank you your Majesty, you truly had changed all this time."
"Thank you for understanding me, perhaps that's for my visit on Ponyville." She disperse into dark lights, ending this chapter here and now.
But uh oh, not so fast.
There was more.
"Hey, Stardust." TipStir's word put all of Stardust attention to her, Stardust said "What is it?"
TipStir hesitate for a moment, but gather her courage. "Did you miss our old world?" Stardust face turn numb, she inhale and "Nope, not a single bit."
"You lied, i know spending 40 years worth of life here. I can't believe you keep your sanity in tact, that was amazing." Stardust turn silent, which TipStir did as well.
"It must have been terrible for you, lonely." Some veins appear on TipStir's head, but now completely vanish.
Stardust now breathing heavily, as if her past was uncovered in a single conversation.
"You know what? Better not sette things out of hand, let's move forward from what we have become."
