I was trying so hard to be as convincing as possible. It was taking so much effort to cry and to show emotion. Yet my mother seemed to do it so effortlessly. Her acting was too good. It was kind of intimidating.
She went over to another batch of clothes right next to where to the dress was, ( Which also happened to be the place where the dropped clothes were). She took one item of clothing and turned to me once again.
She showed me the price tag.
" You see sweetie your dress is more expensive than this." She explained to me.
