Kieran's POV
I couldn't stop moving. Each step I took around the ancient Ruby Ruins felt like pain. It had been four hours since Sienna walked through that tunnel, and every minute felt like a year.
"Would you stop that?" Ronan growled, his silver eyes tracking my moves. "You're making me nervous."
I shot him a look that would have made most dogs run for cover. "Good. You should be nervous."
The morning had turned to afternoon, and now the sun was starting to set. The red stones of the ruins glowed brighter as darkness crept in, making the whole place look like it was on fire.
"What happens if she doesn't come back?" I asked, stopping to stare at the arch. Sienna had disappeared the moment she stepped through it, like she'd walked into another world.
Caius, who had been sitting silently on one of the broken pillars, finally spoke. "She'll come back. The question is whether she'll be the same person when she does."
