He spoke for her, "Destruction, huh?" He chuckled softly, "If the Kinston Family really ended like this, it might not be such a bad thing after all."
She was taken aback, after all, he was a Kinston! And now, among this branch of the Kinston Family, he was the only one left. Yet, listening to him talk, it seemed as if he had a deep grudge against the Kinstons.
"Why do you think that way?" she asked, puzzled.
He lowered his eyes lightly, "All along, there has been no shortage of Kinstons dying on the battlefield. Some had a determination to die, some carried a kind of despair, or pursued a certain purpose... Death, to them, wasn't actually frightening. What's frightening is living without hope. If it were me, I'd rather die heroically for this country than live without hope. In that case, perhaps my existence would have meaning."
