"I can walk…" Lunara wiggled in Eryx's arms as he insisted on lifting her to the dining table.
"You said your back is hurting," Eryx said, furrowing his brows as he looked at Lunara, who was pouting in dissatisfaction.
"And whose fault is that?" She poked his chest adorably.
Eryx frowned. "Why is that my fault? I didn't do anything to you." He protested, his tone annoyed as if recalling the chaos from last night. "I'm a gentleman, okay? Even though you gave me permission…which I'm sure you don't even remember."
"Wait…" She pulled herself up by wrapping her arms around his neck. "We… did not?"
"Nope, we did not."
Eryx leaned in, brushing his nose against hers with a teasing smile. "And if you're wondering why your back is aching right now…"
He paused, clearly holding back a laugh, then muttered, "You kept flipping us over. Like, a lot. One moment you were on top, the next I was… then bam, your back hit the steering wheel hard."
