Malachi.
Manhattan. New York.
Tuesday, three days later…
The rain falls heavily as my driver takes me to the Grand Azure, where I'm currently expected to have a meeting. It's 2pm and the meeting is to be in thirty minutes. Some of the bank's board of directors, are flying in from LA to discuss some urgent issues. So I asked us to meet at the Grand Azure.
It's a luxury hotel, owned by one of our notable clients at the bank. Since I moved here three days ago, I've had my mind buried in work at our Manhattan office. Avoiding the very air Melanie and Regan breathe in.
Lightning and thunder crack in the sky as I rush into the hotel.
"Good afternoon, Mr Tenshaw." Andy, the porter, greets politely.
"Good afternoon, Andy. Do we still call this afternoon, with this black sky?" I tease, as I allow him open the door for me.
Andy breaks into a hearty laugh. He's an old, man with a kind heart. I've known him since I can remember.
