Having not stayed in the dorm for nearly a month, the once-tidy Room 109 was now covered in a thin layer of dust.
And this was with Lin Yun locking the room beforehand, preventing dust from flying in through the windows or door.
Even so, the dorm was still a bit of a mess. Perhaps the only advantage of Shrek's dorms was that you didn't have to worry about ventilation—even with the windows and door closed, air flowed freely.
Because the place was full of gaps.
After grumbling once more about Shrek's shoddy dormitory, Lin Yun had no choice but to start cleaning. Fortunately, with the Ice Dragon King's soul bone, tidying up had become much easier.
Lin Yun simply opened the window, then lightly waved his draconic left claw. A frigid gust of wind swept through the room, carrying all the dust out the window in a continuous stream.
Since there wasn't much actual trash—just a thin layer of dust—using Ice Element Control to gather moisture and clean worked surprisingly well.
"Seems like these two soul bones really are pretty good?" Lin Yun muttered, watching his gradually returning human hand.
After absorbing the two soul bones at the Life Spring, Lin Yun had only tested them briefly before having the Ten Thousand Demon King bring him back to Shrek. He hadn't yet explored their full potential.
Though he understood the principle of "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime," having direct control over ice and fire elements—especially ultimate attributes—and being able to freely develop soul skills was undoubtedly better than being stuck with four fixed skills, even if they were supposedly "million-year" ones.
But still…
Turning a berserker into a mage—wasn't that a bit too much to ask of him?
Only now did he finally have time to experiment with the soul bones' abilities, and he was starting to realize that being a mage might not be so bad after all!
"Of course it's not bad. Did you really doubt my power?" The Ice Dragon King scoffed disdainfully. "When it comes to ice attribute mastery, aside from that idiot Dragon God, I dare say no dragon in the entire race surpasses me."
"My fire attribute is the same," the Fire Dragon King added succinctly.
The two dragons had now settled into Lin Yun's spiritual sea. Originally, he had wanted them to stay with Di Tian, but after learning of Lin Yun's plans, these two clingy dragons insisted on sticking with him.
They even grandly declared they wanted to "witness how he dismantles humanity and saves the Fierce Beasts."
If you just wanted to go out and have fun after sleeping for tens of thousands of years, you could've just said so!
Lin Yun was utterly speechless at their shamelessness.
"Yeah, yeah, I know you're strong. I'm just not used to your powers yet," Lin Yun replied dismissively. Satisfied with the now-clean dorm, he took out fresh bedding, spread it over the bed, and flopped down.
The softness made him let out a small, contented sigh as drowsiness crept over him. Patting his chest to signal Bing Di to transform into his exclusive hugging pillow, he closed his eyes and immediately fell asleep.
This summer break had exhausted him.
Between absorbing the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger's soul ring, wreaking havoc at the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well, constantly cultivating, traveling, and absorbing more soul rings and bones to break through—he had barely slept in a month.
With his Blood Qi Soul Core, physical fatigue wasn't an issue, but mental exhaustion was unavoidable. Lin Yun needed sleep to recover.
When he finally woke up, the sun outside had long since set, leaving only a cold, lofty crescent moon hanging in the sky.
"It's this late already…?" Lin Yun stretched and rubbed Bing Di's sleepy little face. "Bing'er, are you hungry? Want to go out and grab something to eat?"
"Will you be cooking it yourself?" The word "eat" instantly brightened Bing Di's drowsy eyes, a trace of drool glistening at the corner of her mouth.
Bing Di didn't get hungry, but she did get cravings. Her ultimate dream meal was deep-fried Skydream—though that wish couldn't be fulfilled, Lin Yun could at least make her some crispy fried ice silkworms.
Coincidentally, during this break, Lin Yun had asked Snow Empress to return to the Extreme North and have the Fierce Beasts there catch a bunch of ice silkworms.
They weren't high-level—only ten-year—but there were plenty of them. Ice silkworms were abundant in the Extreme North, serving as the primary food source for most Fierce Beasts there. Predators were everywhere—only the Skydream Iceworm had ever been lucky enough to escape.
Bing Di knew Lin Yun's storage device contained a massive block of ultimate ice, inside which were frozen hundreds of ten-year ice silkworms.
Just the thought of a fragrant, crispy, deep-fried ice silkworm feast made her drool.
Tears of longing spilled uncontrollably from the corners of her mouth.
"I know you've been looking forward to this. Let's go cook outside." Lin Yun affectionately ruffled the 400,000-year-old loli's little head before getting up to wash up.
Bing Di eagerly transformed back into a small scorpion and crawled into his collar.
But the moment he stepped outside, the burly figure busily cleaning the opposite dorm made Lin Yun wonder if his eyes were playing tricks on him.
Two meters tall, muscles bulging, face fierce—the broom in his hands looked like a tiny fly swatter, and his sweeping posture gave off the vibe of Zhang Fei doing embroidery.
Bizarre. Utterly fucking bizarre.
"Great One, he carries the aura of the Extreme North. He must have gone there recently. I can also sense the Titan Snow Demon clan's scent on him," Bing Di's voice echoed in Lin Yun's mind.
"Titan Snow Demon? So he still went to the Extreme North. The Ice Jade Scorpion clan's seclusion forced him to settle for a Titan Snow Demon?" Lin Yun's expression twisted as he took in Huo Yuhao's drastically changed appearance.
This bastard is supposed to be Huo Yuhao?!
Was the Titan Snow Demon's bloodline really this overpowered? Turning a malnourished, delicate-looking boy into this hulking muscle freak?
But you had to admit, Huo Yuhao's new look was undeniably intimidating. If you could get past the terrifying muscle mass, he actually seemed quite… robust.
Hearing Lin Yun's door open, Huo Yuhao turned around. Seeing Lin Yun's stunned expression, his face oddly twisted into one of awkward embarrassment—an expression that looked downright surreal on his current face.
Lin Yun felt his jaw practically hit the floor.
"Brother Yun, long time no see!" Huo Yuhao "good-naturedly" scratched the back of his head, his voice now deep and rough.
Though he could roughly guess why Huo Yuhao had turned out like this, Lin Yun figured he should at least pretend to be surprised.
"You're… Huo Yuhao? What the hell happened to you?"
