Hi guys, it's been a while, right?
Maybe 17 or even 20 days since my last update—and I've been thinking things through. Balancing writing with school is really tough. Honestly, it's exhausting.
If you're in that stage where homework keeps piling up and you don't get home until 6 p.m., and on top of that, you're expected to post a 1500-word chapter daily…
Yeah, it gets a lot.
And let's not forget—you still have to edit, because you can't afford an editor.
Why? Because you're too broke for your own good. 😅
I know I'm not the best writer. I make a lot of grammar mistakes, plot holes happen, and more. But at the end of the day, I'm just a high schooler—and English isn't even my first language.
I know some of you compare me to other authors. But the truth is, a lot of those bestselling authors are much older than me. They have more time, more experience, and sometimes, more resources.
(And just to be clear—I'm not talking about all authors.)
Okay, clears throat, here's the actual reason I'm writing this:
I've decided to take a really long hiatus. It might last up to four months.
Here's why:
From the very first day I started writing The Omega Algorithm, I knew that genre wasn't really me. It demanded a lot—like character development and emotional depth—which I struggled to deliver, especially as a first-time writer.
The truth is, forcing myself to write something I didn't enjoy started to feel draining. And honestly, the more I pushed, the more I felt like I was producing… well, rubbish. And it hurt.
But don't worry—I'm not disappearing.
I've decided to write something I actually enjoy. A story I feel connected to. And once I finish that, I'll come back and continue The Omega Algorithm.
The story I'm starting now is a BL novel, and it won't be too long—probably around 40 to 60 chapters.
That's all for today.
I'll start sharing updates about the new novel on Sunday—like the cover, synopsis, and all that fun stuff.
(Even though… you might not be able to see it 😅)
Then, the first chapter will be released on Monday!
I hope you like BL 💙
It's Friday here in my country—see you on Monday!
