Monday morning.
Alex leaves the house early, stepping out shortly after they enjoy breakfast together.
Aurora walked him to the front yard to his car and asked, "Why did you leave so early, Alex? Is there an important meeting at the office?"
Alex leans closer to her; instead of answering, he kisses her.
After giving her a gentle kiss on the lips, he smiles warmly and responds in his soothing voice.
"No. I need to meet your father now. And also, my grandpa."
Immediately, Aurora senses that her whole limb feels stiff.
She knew Alex would eventually talk to them, but she didn't expect him to meet them today.
"Don't worry, Rory. I'll handle everything." Alex carries on, seemingly aware of Aurora's thoughts. "Go inside and get some rest... You still look tired..." He feels guilty for wearing her out two nights in a row.
