"What? You found him? Finally!" Matthew excitedly shouted, surprising Alex with his reaction.
"That's fantastic, Alex! But where is he now? We need to find out who sent him to kill Rory!" Matthew added.
Alex was stunned at his father's unexpected reaction. He had assumed his father was involved as well, but it turned out that he was innocent.
He smiled calmly at his father before turning his gaze to his grandfather. He noticed that there was no longer any shock in his grandfather's expression; only the calmness he could see in his gaze remained.
'Tsk! Tsk! Grandpa, do you seriously believe you can feel guilt-free after killing the truck driver?' Alex thought.
"Dad, the truck driver is dead! We can't question or retrieve any information from him," Alex said, his gaze still locked on his grandfather's eyes to gauge his reaction.
"Nevertheless, we know who the mastermind is!" Alex continued calmly. His guess was correct; a shocked look crossed his grandfather's gaze.
