Sakiya sensed the beacon's activation and immediately rushed to a designated strike zone—a barren wasteland far from any settlements.
This was the location Tsunade and the others had chosen for her to act as an artillery unit.
Meanwhile, Zetsu's hideout, where Obito and the others were stationed, was hundreds of kilometers away—far beyond Sakiya's line of sight.
But she didn't need to see.
She could feel it.
The exact coordinates of the beacon.
Sakiya raised her hands, locking onto the location.
"Reaper's Embrace."
The emergency call signal.
It meant one thing—fire immediately, without hesitation.
It meant sacrifice.
She didn't hesitate.
Chakra surged through her body, boiling like an inferno.
A sphere of pure destruction, 100 meters in diameter, formed in an instant—suspended in midair like a miniature sun.
Heat waves rippled outward.
The ground beneath her cracked under the sheer pressure of the energy.
The air grew stiflingly hot, shimmering with the intensity of the attack.
Sakiya's eyes flashed red.
And then—
The air trembled.
The "Little Sun" launched like a missile, leaving behind a thunderous sonic boom.
A fiery streak tore through the sky, vaporizing the clouds instantly.
The sheer force of the launch obliterated the terrain—crushing the earth except for the small circle directly beneath Sakiya.
Meanwhile—
Tsunade and the others, sensing the shockwave, rushed outside.
They arrived just in time to see the aftermath—
A smoldering crater.
And standing at its center, unfazed—Sakiya.
Tsunade's eyes widened in horror.
"That attack… What was it?"
Sakiya turned, her expression calm but serious.
"Reaper's Embrace."
"The Judgment is complete. The most devastating strike."
Tsunade's breath hitched.
Her pupils shrank.
"Then… Anko and the others…"
Nearby, Raikage clenched his fists, his muscles tensing in fury.
"Damn it!"
-----
Above the lair, Obito and Nagato worked frantically to disrupt the beacon's signal.
As they severed parts of the marking, the towering pillar of light began to flicker.
By the time a third of the mark was destroyed, the beam vanished entirely.
But even after erasing the last traces of the symbol, Obito felt uneasy.
Something wasn't right.
And then—
Both he and Nagato snapped their heads upward.
A terrifying chakra presence was closing in fast.
Too fast.
A second later—
The thick clouds above began to boil, shifting into a fiery red storm, like the sky itself was set ablaze.
The glowing red clouds only lasted for a moment.
Then—
The center of the storm tore open, as if devoured by an unseen force.
A hole in the sky.
And through it—
A massive fireball came screaming down.
The clouds disintegrated instantly upon contact with its heat, spreading outward like flames on dry paper.
The entire sky glowed red, as if the sun had descended upon the battlefield.
The fireball was enormous. Blinding. Terrifying.
A streak of flame trailed behind it, stretching across the heavens like the tail of a comet.
It was—breathtakingly beautiful.
But Obito and Nagato had no time for awe.
They knew what was coming.
Nagato's breath caught in his throat, sweat dripping down his pale face.
His fists clenched, chakra surging violently as his body tensed.
This… This was even worse than last time.
At least five times stronger.
Obito's heart pounded inside his chest.
He had barely managed to phase through the last attack.
This?
This was a death sentence.
He had no choice—he activated Kamui, shifting into intangibility.
But Nagato—
Nagato was preparing to stand his ground.
Veins bulged along his forehead as chakra burned wildly through his body.
"I won't let my Rinnegan be destroyed!"
The fireball descended.
The ground shook beneath them, the air itself twisting and distorting from the sheer heat.
And then—
A flash.
A blinding explosion of white light consumed them.
For a brief moment, the battlefield fell into absolute silence.
Then—
The world erupted.
The explosion devoured everything in its path, a tidal wave of fire and energy.
The very earth beneath it was instantly vaporized.
The blast radius expanded rapidly—a searing white dome swallowing the land, stretching out for over ten kilometers in an instant.
Nothing survived.
Nothing could.
The explosion's shockwave erupted, sending a violent tremor through the land.
The ground quaked, splitting apart as waves of force rippled outward.
Even the clouds in the sky were blown away, leaving the heavens eerily clear for a brief moment.
Hundreds of kilometers away—
Tsunade and the others felt the earth shudder beneath them, the tremors reaching even their command center.
Inside the main control room, the entire mountain seemed to shake, the instruments on their heads rattling.
At the center of the room, a large sphere of water—linked to their surveillance system—began to churn violently.
Yamanaka Inoichi stared at it, his face pale with sweat as he processed the massive chakra reaction.
"In an instant… That much destruction…?" he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.
"This is terrifying…"
Tsunade's expression hardened.
"Hai, what's the situation?" she asked.
Inoichi exhaled, steadying himself before answering.
"That entire area… It's been completely wiped out."
"If that really was the enemy's base—"
He paused, swallowing.
"—then they didn't survive this."
-------
The strike team had pushed ahead, reaching the outskirts of the enemy's territory.
And then—
They saw it.
A spectacle of destruction.
A towering mushroom cloud, blooming like a deadly flower, dominated the horizon.
The fiery core of the explosion reached skyward, while petals of smoke and flame billowed outward, spreading across the heavens.
A perfect ring of smoke hovered midair, marking the sheer force of the detonation.
The entire sky burned red, illuminated by the lingering firestorm.
The team stood frozen.
It was terrifying.
It was breathtaking.
Kankuro and the others stared, momentarily lost in awe.
But Sai had no time to admire it.
He was watching through his reconnaissance ink bird, and he saw something else—
The shockwave.
It tore through the landscape, shattering trees, reducing them to splinters.
Some were launched miles into the air.
"Brace for impact!" Sai shouted.
Kankuro snapped back to reality. His gaze locked onto the advancing shockwave, and he immediately assessed their position.
"We're too exposed! Land now!"
Sai didn't hesitate. He commanded his ink bird to fold its wings and dive toward the ground like a missile.
They plummeted.
Seconds later, they leveled out, wings spreading to slow their descent before slamming into the dirt.
The moment they landed, the Iwa-nin were already moving.
Hands slammed into the earth.
"Earth Release: Earth Core Shift!"
Two ninjas. One jutsu.
The ground beneath them sank, creating an instant bunker of solid earth.
Above them, a thick wall of stone rose, shielding them from the incoming force.
Then—
BOOM!
The shockwave hit.
The wall trembled, but held firm. Inside their trench, the team remained untouched.
A few seconds later—
Silence.
Kankuro let out a slow breath, his pulse still hammering.
Then, cautiously, they climbed out of their shelter.
And what they saw left them speechless.
The once dense jungle was gone.
In its place—
A wasteland.
Bare, scorched earth stretched endlessly in all directions.
And at the center of it all—
The colossal mushroom cloud, still churning, still rising into the sky.
Kankuro exhaled, his voice barely above a whisper.
"This is… unreal."
