"What??" Oracle spoke loudly. "There was a dog steed in the exam?" Oracle sat in his study, looking at Richard in shock. "Ahh." He groaned while scratching his head.
"How did it die?"
"Astra Van Vontrea fell into a fight with the beast. Amidst the battle, he awakened his aura and overpowered the beast, dramatically injuring it."
"So how did it die?"
"Hito shot a water needle which pierced the beast's skull."
Oracle sighed. "Luckily there weren't any casualties. Make sure no other beasts are lurking in the forest. Then continue with the examination."
"Alright, sir."
Oracle stretched out one of his hands. "You may go now."
Richard nodded his head and left the room.
After Oracle saw Richard leave the room and the door close behind him, he sat back in his chair and sighed loudly while looking up.
"The year just started and we already had a big problem."
He turned his gaze to a paper on his table. "Astra Van Vontrea, I didn't expect you to be a genius and awaken so soon."
In the medical room, a slender woman with long black hair and a sexy body sat on a table while behind her a slightly short muscular man slept, injured, on a white bed.
Astra slowly opened his eyes and saw the white ceiling above him. He then remembered his fight with the dog steed.
"Ahhhhh."
He instinctively got up and put his hand on his waist, as if trying to grab his sword.
He then looked at his surroundings. "Wait? Where am I?"
"You're at the nurse's office, young man."
Astra turned his head to see a woman with long hair and a beautiful face standing there while having her hand on her waist.
Her nurse's coat was not buttoned all the way, revealing some cleavage.
He saw her face and then turned his gaze down to her...
"Hey, my eyes are up here," she spoke again, pointing at her eyes.
"Yes ma'am," Astra spoke while blushing.
The nurse smiled and spoke in a seductive tone, "Well, you do have a nice body."
Astra's face became bright red and he looked towards his body, noticing that he was not wearing anything. "Wahh! Where's my clothes?" he spoke while pulling the bed sheet to cover his body.
She then laughed a little. "Don't worry, I had to remove it so that I could use my Roh on you."
Roh is an invisible power utilized by healers worldwide. This power enables them to heal severe injuries and consume invisible energy, although the consumption of Roh is depleted faster than any other invisible power.
Astra then looked at his hand, which had a huge scar running through it. He took his other hand and touched the scar.
"If you want to heal the scar, I can."
Astra nodded his head. "Don't need to, let it stay."
He then looked towards the nurse and turned his head down, showing respect. "Thank you for healing me, ma'am."
"Don't need to thank me. It's my job to heal people," she spoke while flapping her wrist.
"Take a break before leaving. I'll bring you your shirt now." She walked away from him.
Astra turned his head and looked out at the sky through the window beside him.
The door opened and a tall man with sharp blue eyes and fairly long hair walked into the room.
After hearing the sound of the door, Astra turned his gaze toward the man. "Who are you?" Astra's head tilted a bit.
"Oh me? I am Hito of Atlantisa."
'Hito of Atlantisa?' Astra's eyes widened. "You're Hito?? The genius mage?" he spoke in shock while pushing himself back to the wall.
Hito of Atlantisa was a well-known name throughout Ragir—the kid who awakened at a young age and reached the level of a 3-star mage at the age of 16.
Many people thought he would be a noble, but rather Hito was a commoner who rose to fame by his power.
Even Astra, who was of Vontrea, had heard of the genius many times before joining Valkorion.
"Yeah, that's me. But I didn't come here to get idolized by you," he spoke calmly.
Astra sat back up. "I'm sorry."
Hito then looked at him. "Nice abs."
Astra laughed mockingly. "Thanks. Now will you tell me why you came here?"
Hito smiled. "OK, OK. So how did it feel to awaken?"
"Oh, that." He looked at his hand, clenched it, and then looked at Hito. "It felt... good."
Hito looked at him, disappointed. "That's all?"
Astra looked at him, confused. "Yeah. What did you want me to say?"
Hito slapped his face gently. "Nothing. Get some good rest, I guess."
He then turned away to leave.
"Wait, was that all?" Astra spoke, expecting more.
Hito nodded his head. "Yep, that's all."
Hito turned away again, ready to leave.
"Wait," Astra spoke again, making Hito stop again.
"What is it now?"
"Well, how did the selection go?"
"Well, the third group is taking the selection right now, and after the fourth group, the results will come out."
Astra kept silent and turned away.
"Well, if there isn't anything left, I'll take my leave." Just before he left, he spoke in a mocking tone.
"K, bye, King of Vontrea," Hito smirked as he closed the door behind him.
"King of Vontrea?" Then Astra remembered the claim he made that he would become the ruler of the Vontrea kingdom.
Hito left an embarrassed Astra alone in the room.
After staying in the medical room for another 30 minutes, Astra got up and put on his shirt, which was placed on the table beside him.
He left the room and planned to go to the auditorium to see the selection process going on.
After 30 seconds, he came back to the nurse's office.
"Umm, ma'am, can you tell me where the auditorium is?"
"Well, take a left turn, then walk for over 30 meters. There will be a map of the whole ground floor—you'll find the auditorium on that map."
"Thank you, ma'am."
Astra left the room, and after listening to the nurse's instructions, he found the map.
"So if I am here, I should go like this, then take this turn and follow this path." He made a plan in his brain. "And eventually I'll reach the auditorium."
Astra was confident about the plan he made. He was so confident that he didn't even take another look before leaving for the auditorium.
The Valkorion was a huge academy, and the hallways made the place feel like it was a maze. Astra got stuck in this maze and eventually reached the auditorium after roaming the academy for 10 whole minutes.
'I did it, I finally reached the auditorium.' Astra felt very proud of himself.
The big screen in front of the auditorium showed a warrior fighting against a boar in the forest.
He looked around the grand area, trying to find a seat. He found a seat left in one of the front rows next to Hito.
He hurriedly rushed to sit there, trying not to block the view of the other students.
As he took his seat, he turned over to see Hito sleeping comfortably in the red seat.
'Well, what did I expect?' He was a bit disappointed. 'Well, to be honest, I expected to talk to him.'
After 4 hours.
All four groups finished their exams and the result was going to come soon.
The screen turned black for a few seconds. Then on the screens, it played the results of the first group.
After seeing the screen, Astra's face reflected a mix of surprise and disbelief, his mouth slightly agape as he struggled to process what he was witnessing.
