Aria's pov
The situation spiraled out of control before I even had a chance to think. Eadric and Marcus were at each other's throats again, their arguments growing more vicious by the second. They stood inches apart, tension radiating off them like a suffocating heat. I couldn't let this get any worse.
"Enough!" I yelled, stepping between them and forcing my arms out to separate them. My voice shook, but I couldn't let fear control me. "This isn't going to solve anything."
"Both of you, stop!" I pleaded, but the words fell on deaf ears. Desperation clawed at me as I felt the pressure in my chest mounting.
My patience snapped when Geoffrey made a move toward Eadric, his intentions clearly violent. I didn't think, I just reacted. A surge of energy erupted from within me, pure and unstoppable, like an explosion ripping through my veins. I felt a force slam into both of them, sending them stumbling backward.
Eadric's eyes widened in shock. "Aria… what was that?"
