Chapter 69
Ark reaches him in half a second, but now he stops in front of him and does a high kick, so fast that Syragoth can only put his hands in front of him to protect himself.
He takes the full brunt of the kick and he is sent flying, one of his hands is broken, but that is the last of his worries because Ark appears behind him, waiting. Ark looks at the incoming Syragoth and on his legs and fists a white transparent film appears, when Syragoth reaches him, he punches from above and sends his body towards the ground like a missile, now double the damages than before.
The white film on Ark's fist destroying a few scales from his body. Another crater the size of a lake appears. Then Ark starts falling like a spear, his speed increasing more and more. When Syragoth's body hits the ground, it doesn't even have time to bounce back one time, and Ark is already above him.
He is hit by the spear like strike, and the Earth is sent flying once again, his body almost broken in two even his draconic body barely withstanding this strike. He is sent almost one kilometer down inside the Earth, his body a broken mess, his scales almost all broken. He thinks, 'It's been a long time since i was this injured. But now i know that he is not only talk."
He takes a few minutes until he can even move, the stolen energy from Ark saving his life, in a minute he is healed enough to stand up and get out from the almost one-kilometer-long hole.
When he gets out, he sees Ark waiting with a smile on his face, he hears him say;
"Syragoth was your name? Well i haven't had so much fun fighting in a long time. But now we need to finish this."
Around Ark's body the air starts to heat up, the earth starts to vibrate, a transparent film appears all over his body and is just like an armor. Syragoth looks at the even more powerful Ark and he knows that if they continue, he won't be having any chance at winning without being at 100% of his powers. And the only way to do that is if he can expel the Death Aura from the 'Old One' from his body. He says;
"Wait, i give up. I don't want to fight you anymore."
Ark raises an eyebrow and for a moment thinks he is bullsh**** him to make him let his guard down to take him by surprise. For a moment they stand and just stare at each other, then Ark raises his shoulders and shakes his head. The transparent film disappearing from his body. He hears Syragoth say;
"I want to join you in your war against the Celestials. I only came for you because i thought that you don't have a chance against the 'Old one'. But i see that i was wrong. I thought that i could take your power and the powers of your companions and go myself against the 'Old one'."
Ark looks at him and says;
"Why do you want to go against the 'Old One' so bad, and what held you back until now?"
Syragoth just stares with an empty gaze while some painful memories come back. But after a few moments he says with a trembling voice;
"He took everything from me. Everything i ever loved and cared for, killed by him in front of me. I was one of the rising pillars about one million years ago, i almost reached the 1000th Dimension with my own powers. At that time the Celestials weren't at power like now. But the 'Old One' started their ascension by Destroying my home Dimension. And later when i tried to take revenge, i didn't manage to even get near him. And then he killed my lover who was pregnant with our child in front of me, and left his death aura inside my body to be always weaker, not being able to pose a threat to them, but also not being able to die, to always have a hope that i could maybe do something. I am but just a ghost who can't 'Die' but also not 'Living'.... I am tired. I want to put all i have left on you. I Will Follow 'The One'."
Ark sees his almost tangible rage and pain, he sees the hopelessness in his eyes, the fury that keeps him going even if he wants to let everything go. But he is not allowed to, not until he sees the guilty one, dead. He says;
"Maybe we can still help you expel some of the death aura, and that will let you use between 70-80% of your powers, that is until i will get my powers back, then you will have your full powers."
Then he looks towards the sky and says;
"Hollow are you done? I need some help."
Syragoth sees a girl with glasses appearing next to him, he feels like he saw this girl somewhere before. Then after a few seconds he remembers a girl with glasses that is called Hollow. He says;
"The Cursed One, Hollow Cipher one of the most feared women in history."
Hollow turns towards him and just looks with a piercing gaze, after a few seconds he starts to sweat, for him she is ten times scarier than Ark or even the 'Old One'. She then turns her head towards Ark and says saving the man from the pressure;
"What do you need me for? And why does he still live?"
Ark laughs and says while looking towards her;
"Well now he is my friend, and he needs your help to expel some of the 'Old One's' aura, so could you help us? And i will reward you later."
He says the last part in a whisper. He knows what a herculean task it is for anyone else but him, to expel the death aura, no matter what method is used, the death aura sticks like glue and expands to the other side immediately. So it's really dangerous for anyone else to even try. But he knows that the few who can do something like that is in front of him.
Even Syragoth is surprised, he tried millions of methods, but the death aura just simply destroyed every attempt. That's why he gave up on eliminating it with the help of others and concentrated on stealing the powers of others to grow his own, because he wanted to use his own power to fight against the death aura and expel it. But if he can get help, then he will try anything.
Hollow looks at Ark with a gaze that is like daggers, then she looks again toward Syragoth, she looks for a few seconds then she turns her head towards Ark and says;
"You do know that i need to use a heaven defying curse to be able to expel some of the aura, and even my curse won't be able to expel it completely, and not to say that i will be again watched by the eyes of the 'Skyes'. But i will do it if my man says so."
Ark then gives her a kiss on the cheek and says;
"See that's why i said i don't want to break up, because i love you too much. But you, No, No, lets break up."
Hollow looks at him and wants to hit him with a 'Lot of Love' but remembers that someone is watching and she can't do that to her man. She says;
"Really because i remember i cried for weeks and weeks, even begging you not to leave me, because i was ready to fight till my last breath by your side. And not even once did i say i wanted to break up."
Ark just whistles and turns towards Syragoth saying;
"So buddy didn't you said that you are pretty hurt and need to expel the death aura really fast. Then we need to hurry."
Hollow just shakes her head, already used to her man antics. She says;
"I need some time to prepare, and for the best results i need blood from the one who is cursed. Later there will be some interference from the 'Deceiving Old Skyes', Ark you are in charge of that. There can't be any disturbance in my Ritual."
Ark nods and says;
"Don't worry, even if the sky is falling i will hold it for you."
She just shakes her head and starts preparing her field. From her space ring she takes a table that is cherry dark, and on it some red like blood orbs moves like there is another dimension inside the table, she takes a knife and says to Syragoth;
"Use this knife to pierce your heart, but before that go inside that magic circle that i set up."
Syragoth takes the knife then he goes inside the magic circle, he waits. Hollow starts to say something in another language, that sounds like she is speaking with some Devils making who knows what deals.
Then he sees her eyes turning completely white, her hair starts rising up, the Earth beneath their feet trembles like something from the deepest parts of hell wants to come up. Then Syragoth hears;
"Now, pierce your heart."
