Chapter 73 - I am the one who will 'Remain'

Chapter 73

The kings look at one another and know that they need to fight together with their life on the line if they want to see tomorrow.

They start to walk back towards the real monster. Malakar takes his swords out and waits for the kings. But then another earthquake is starting, and now even stronger than before. He looks up and knows that he doesn't have much time. He needs to finish fast. After a few moments and a few fallen rocks from the ceiling, the earthquake subsides.

Malakar also starts walking, but after a few steps he disappears. The others look around them, but they don't see him anymore, then they feel something above them. They see Malakar with his swords in a X position over his head and a huge red energy ball high above, he lets his swords fall, and the energy ball follows. The kings immediately know that if they take this hit some of them will disappear.

Everyone prepares their own defenses in the short time they have. The centipede rolls into a ball and that makes it like a steel ball. Around the minotaur a white energy shield appears. The beetle makes his hard like steel shell to grow all round his body, becoming like a fortress. The mantis uses her sword like hands to put them above it, then swords start to grow from them, making a cage like ball all around it.

Then a moment later the ball hits the ground and the explosion spreads to the barrier walls in a second. But the red energy hits Malakar also because of the barrier. He doesn't care about that, the golden glow healing him immediately. But the kings took the full force plus the after match. After the explosion is starting to lose power, Malakar sees the earth destroyed beneath him, everything wiped inside the barrier, the only things remaining in the hell like landscape, is a steel ball, and a bettle like fortress.

But even the two remaining kings are not without injuries, the king centipede has molted spots on his armor, and in some places the legs are missing. But still alive.

The bettle king a little bit better, only one arm was hurt in the explosion, but his shell glowing red from the heat. He looks up and sees the unhurt Malakar and an anger overcomes him. He flies to him wanting to dismember him and eat him piece by piece. But then he sees Malakar looking into his eyes and he feels the blood inside his body like lava, is like his blood wants to get out from his body all at once from his hurt hand. Before he manages to do anything else, he starts to lose consciousness because of lack of blood to his brain. He stops in midair for a second, then he starts falling back down. When he hits the ground is like a tank fell, his body making a small crater his weight not far from a real tank. Then the blood starts to rise to the sky, the bettle king dead. His blood stolen and used against him.

The centipede king sees how he died, and he starts to back up. For the first time after becoming a king he feels fear, genuine fear against an opponent. But he sees Malakar flying towards him, he knows that he can't run. His only chance is if he attacks. So that is what he does.

But the centipede king doesn't go near him, he sends some acid spits attacks while backing up. But Malakar avoids them easily. He flies faster and faster while avoiding the acid spits, then when he is about twenty meters way from the king, he feels something in his throat. He stops and falls to the ground spitting blood, then he starts bleeding from his eyes, ears and nose. He says with an angry voice while using his powers to stop the blood from leaving his body;

"Poison. You poisoned me, but don't think that that will save you from dying today."

Then he disappears from his spot and appears next to the centipede king, his swords ready to cut his body in half. But when Malakar's swords are one centimeter away from the kings' body his vision is taken. The sword misses the soft flesh between the steel like shell plates, his sword making a 'Clang' noise, and almost leaves his hand. Not managing to cut through.

Then he is sent flying by a hit in his chest, after flying for a few tens of meters and a few broken ribs and flesh wounds he hits the ground and his body making a long ditch he thinks, 'I will kill that mother**cker.'

He gets up and his eyes can see again but not 100%, the poison still making him weak and hurting his body from the inside. Poison being one of the golden glow weaknesses, the glow is fighting to neutralize the poison, but in this time, it can't heal the body properly, so if Malakar takes a fatal hit, he will really die. He starts walking again towards the king.

But the king doesn't fear him so much anymore, now he can hurt him, now he can kill him. He starts spiting acid spits again, but Malakar holds his breath, he doesn't let the vapor in anymore, he tries to avoid the spits with a greater distance. Then he starts making a blood shield around him, while sending red energy balls the size of a basketball towards the king.

They fight for a few moments like that, no one getting the upper hand over the other. But Malakar starts to move faster and faster, the king sees that and knows that he doesn't have much time anymore, Malakar is almost completely healed, his poison not making so many damages inside anymore. The king sends a more powerful and bigger acid spit, that makes a poisonous cloud when it hits the ground.

Then he crawls with his top speed and that makes him look like a bullet train that travels like a bullet. He reaches Malakar in but a moment and uses one of his spear like legs to try and pierce his head. But Malakar smiles, then he just disappears from his spot and cuts him on his back between two of his steel like shell.

Then Malakar falls back he just watches the king with a smile. His face saying, 'Baka Baka, you fell for it.' Malakar was healed already. He was just setting a trap for the king, and the king fell completely in it.

The king sees Malakar raising his sword towards him and immediately he feels his blood boiling, he tries to fight against Malakar's pull, but his blood doesn't listen to him. In a few moments his head feels like is on the brink of exploding, then after a few seconds more passes out, losing complete control of his body. He falls with a thud, and then his blood is starting to raise from his body, the centipede kind not to raise anymore ever again.

Malakar takes down the barrier then he starts walking towards the City Hall, the monsters around are making way for him, he alone killed their kings, his aura more potent than any monster.

He says while raising his aura higher and higher;

"Go back from wherever you came. This is an 'Order'."

His voice booming all around the city, his aura making the monsters feel like small chickens in front of a wolf. Immediately the monsters begin running back towards the caves they came from. The slower ones always looking back, fearing that the big bad wolf will come for them. But Malakar is already in the City Hall, hearing his men's reports about the situation. But the more he hears the more he sees something not adding up. Then he thinks and says;

"Why does this look like a 'Distraction' more and more, and why didn't the Dragon do anything anymore, it passed more than half an hour... Sh*t, go and check the hostages, fast."

One of the soldiers runs to the vault, and when he opens it. He says;

"Sh*t we were played."

He turns back wanting to run fast and warn the Boss, but when he turns, he sees a forty old man with eyes of a snake looking directly at him, when he sees those eyes is like they can see all the way to his soul, he even forgets to run, or call for help.

In the next moment his eyes turn completely black, then he hears the man saying;

"I see now, so that's how your Boss did it."

Then the mercenary soldier starts walking towards the City Hall, but while walking his eyes turn to normal again, and after a few moments he starts running. And in a few moments he reaches the Boss and says;

"Boss we are screwed, the hostages are all gone. The vault is empty. We were played; the monsters and the Dragon were all a Distraction for the other team to rescue the hostages."

The Boss raises from his chair and takes the pagoda out and screams;

"Trap everyone in a hundred miles range."

Then a glow spreads for a hundred miles, but the glow of the pagoda dimming. Clearly too much even for this powerful artifact, but the Boss seems that he doesn't care, he says again;

"Go and search for them, they can't be too far."
