The Yu Family's anniversary party was held in a pristine hotel ballroom, lit by crystal chandeliers and filled with soft classical music. Tables were draped in ivory cloth, topped with tall vases of white lilies and pink roses, every detail elegant, almost coldly so.
Guests mingled in tailored suits and designer gowns, sipping champagne and exchanging hollow pleasantries. And in the middle of it all were the Yu couple, smiling and receiving greetings from everyone.
"Congratulations! Congratulations! To be a loving couple, eternally devoted to each other is the dream we all share!" A short woman dressed in a flashy red dress hugged Mrs. Yu as Mr. Yu smiled at her.
"You are exaggerating it, sister-in-law!" Mrs. Yu blushed, playfully dismissing the lady's words.
"Mom, how is Aunt exaggerating it? Dad and you are my ideal couple indeed!" Esther hooked her arm around Mrs. Yu's, swaying it back and forth, "Don't you agree, Ah Jun?"
