Eira returned to the room carrying a small tray of snacks. She paused for a moment at the doorway, smiling warmly when she saw Cassandra and Noah sitting closer than before.
"So… are you two friends now?" she asked playfully as she set the tray down.
Both Noah and Cassandra nodded in unison. "Yeah," they replied.
Eira grinned and took her seat again. "That's good to hear."
Noah eagerly opened his notebook and began writing his homework. But within a few minutes, his brows furrowed in confusion. "Ugh… this doesn't make sense," he muttered, frustrated.
Eira leaned over to look at his work. "Noah, it's not done like that," she said gently. "See? It goes like this—" She began to explain, but it was clear Noah still couldn't concentrate.
