Derrick's POV
I looked at Nathan and recognized a heavy sense of neutrality in his expression. I looked around the room frustratedly before rising to my feet, sighing heavily.
"What is your problem?" I asked somewhat flatly but tiredly. "Why are you suddenly acting this way? Why are you talking like this?"
Nathan lifted his eyes, then dropped them at that instant. "I apologize if my actions are unsettling to you," he said before bowing down. "However, the relationship between you and I is that of master and slave. What more could our relationship or manner of conversation be like?"
Instantly, I recalled what I had said to Nathan. The last time we talked, I had told him blatantly that my own actions could not be misunderstood because I was his Alpha and he was nothing but my slave.
Fuck!
