But beyond that, there are no clear advantages.
Ayr's ability, however, is a different story.
Not only does it possess resilience beyond that of the phoenix, but it also carries the power and momentum capable of suppressing the phoenix.
These two attributes have utterly overwhelmed the Phoenix Fruit!
It's hard for them to understand why both of them are Eudemons, yet Ayr's ability completely suppresses the Phoenix's?
Is this truly the level that Eudemons should possess?
"Damn it, this power is stronger than I thought," Deros muttered, having been slammed to the ground by Ayr. He rose, glaring at Ayr with a dark expression.
Despite the force of Ayr's punch, Deros had sustained no serious damage due to his strong resilience. Such injuries were nothing to him.
"I remember there's an upper limit to the Phoenix's resilience, but let's see how many punches your resilience can withstand."
During the Summit War, Marco had been bandaged after a tough battle, which proved that while the Phoenix Devil Fruit's recovery was extraordinarily powerful, it still had its limits.
As the words fell, Ayr again summoned Kurama's fist and hurled it toward Deros.
"With an ability like yours, the physical requirements must be extreme. I'll see how long you can maintain this state!"
Deros scoffed coldly and rushed towards Ayr. Without using his Devil Fruit powers, Deros knew he was no match for Ayr's Conqueror's Haki. But now that both sides were using their abilities, Deros found himself falling behind.
However, Deros still didn't think he would lose. After all, his true advantage lay in his incredible resilience. Since the power Ayr unleashed was so tremendous, the physical demands must be immense!
So, this battle now became a contest of Taijutsu!
It would either be Ayr's body techniques that would tire first, preventing him from maintaining the complete tailed beast form, or Deros' resilience would break down before he could continue recovering his injuries!
"Boom! Boom! Boom!!!"
The battlefield was alive with the sounds of explosions and battle cries.
Ayr and Deros. The Golden Lion and the Five Elders.
The clash between these powerful forces had reached a fever pitch!
Everyone was fighting with everything they had.
Time passed.
"Shuh!!!"
A terrifying blade cut through the night sky, its immense power emanating from the ghostly figure of the blade-wielding old man. He gripped Guiche in his hands, slashing downward toward the Golden Lion's chest.
"Boom!!!"
The Golden Lion was thrown back with tremendous force, crashing to the ground.
His body was covered in deep cuts, evidence of the numerous strikes from the blade-wielding man.
"Cough cough!!!"
Struggling to stand, the Golden Lion coughed up blood. The blood stained his entire body, his hair a tangled mess, and his face pale. Despite facing such a powerful foe as the Five Elders, he'd held on for this long.
"You're more tenacious than I expected, but your strength doesn't truly surprise me," the old man with the blade remarked coldly, stepping closer to the Golden Lion.
"Really?" the Golden Lion sneered.
"Lion Majesty, Earth Coiling!!!"
With a roar, the Golden Lion slammed his palm into the ground. Stone after stone rose, coalescing into several massive lion heads. These enormous lions loomed over the battlefield, blocking the sky as they encircled the Five Elders.
The Golden Lion flicked his fingers, directing the lion heads to strike the old man with the blade.
"Is that all you have before your inevitable death?" the old man sneered, showing little concern.
Suddenly, he surged forward, gripping Guiche tightly, and his arm was enveloped with a potent force.
"Call out!!!"
In an instant, a dark flash streaked through the air. The ferocious sword energy tore apart the space itself as it clove through the lion heads, cutting them down effortlessly with the power of ten thousand men.
Just as the attack seemed to have ended, a voice echoed behind the old man with the knife.
"Thunder Eight Trigrams!!!"
The old man's expression shifted as he swiftly turned to see Kaido, now charging toward him, wielding his massive mace with overwhelming force.
"Boom!!!"
Kaido's mace struck the old man's body, sending him flying across the battlefield.
"Jie hahaha… you bastards, you're finally here!" The Golden Lion laughed loudly, clearly relieved. After such a long fight, he had finally received the support he had been waiting for.
In the dark sky, Charlotte Linlin, riding atop Zeus, observed with indifference.
"Shiki, you look pathetic. A mere old man has beaten you like this..." she commented.
At her words, the Golden Lion's face darkened considerably.
"Linlin, I told you before!"
It was Ayr who first mentioned the Five Elders, but in the end, Ayr had been overwhelmed by them. If Kaido and the others hadn't arrived in time, he might have died on the battlefield!
"But speaking of which, where's that bastard Ayr?" Whitebeard asked, glancing around.
"Ayr? Isn't he right there?" Golden Lion pointed toward the horizon with a grimace.
The group followed his gaze, and at the far end of the battlefield, they saw a massive tailed beast, its golden fur gleaming under the moonlight, with nine powerful tails swishing through the air. It was radiating an intimidating aura as it engaged in combat.
"That's… Ayr?" Charlotte Linlin frowned, her expression a mix of surprise and confusion.
She had seen Ayr in his six-tailed form during their time with Rocks, but this was the first time she had seen him fully transformed with all nine tails.
"Gu La La La… So this guy Ayr has developed a new ability?" Whitebeard chuckled, momentarily stunned before bursting into laughter.
Charlotte Linlin narrowed her eyes, her gaze fixed on the enormous tailed beast. After a few moments of contemplation, she muttered, "No… it's not a new ability. It's the evolution of Ayr's powers!"
She recalled seeing Ayr with six tails on Hive Island earlier, but now… he was in full nine-tail form.
"This means Ayr's power has evolved."
"Evolution?" Whitebeard paused, staring at the monstrous tailed beast in awe.
"That kid Ayr is a true monster!" Charlotte Linlin sighed in disbelief.
Throughout this time, Ayr had not only maintained his body techniques, Conqueror's Haki, and swordsmanship, but his Devil Fruit ability had grown significantly stronger.
Linlin, now deep in thought, considered the possibility: had Ayr been undergoing some sort of forbidden training? Otherwise, how could he manage to improve his physical prowess, Haki, swordsmanship, and Devil Fruit all at once?
