"Lord Five Elders!"
At the sight of the new arrival, the CPO agents immediately dropped to one knee in reverence.
Ayr's pupils contracted. "Another one?!"
He had already clashed with one of the Five Elders—the sword-wielding old man—and barely managed to hold his ground. That level of combat power was beyond anything he had faced before.
Now, another one had arrived.
The long, straight-haired Five Elder, his presence exuding authority, stepped forward. His cold gaze fell upon Deros, the wounded CPO commander.
"The government placed great trust in you," the elder said indifferently. "We even granted you a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, and this is how you repay us?"
Deros gritted his teeth, forcing himself to his feet. "Lord Five Elders... I haven't lost yet!"
The elder scoffed. "Not lost? You can barely stand. Your wounds aren't even regenerating properly. Your performance today... is a disgrace."
Deros clenched his fists but had no words to refute his superior. CPO commanders were among the strongest protectors of Mariejois, yet here he was—utterly crushed.
"Forgive me, Lord Five Elders. But... this man is a monster!"
The elder's cold eyes remained fixed on him. "Monster? There are no monsters before me."
Faced with that overwhelming aura, Deros lowered his head like a child caught in failure.
The Five Elder turned away from him. "Step aside. I will deal with him."
"Yes, sir!" The CPO members immediately assisted Deros, dragging him back.
If the Five Elders hadn't arrived when they did, Deros would have died here.
The elder shifted his gaze to Ayr, his Observation Haki sweeping over the battlefield. "Ayr... interesting. None of our previous intelligence indicated you possessed such abilities. Have you evolved your Devil Fruit even further?"
Ayr stood atop Kurama's head, his golden Nine-Tailed Beast form radiating power. He ignored the elder's question, focusing on his next move.
"This isn't good… I need to escape!"
Their objective for attacking Mariejois was to steal the Eternal Log Pose to God Valley. Now that Golden Lion had it, there was no reason to remain.
And with two Five Elders present, staying was suicide.
With a burst of speed, Ayr dashed toward Whitebeard's position.
"You think you can escape?" The elder's figure flickered, vanishing in an instant.
Ayr's instincts flared—the Five Elder was right behind him.

On the Other Side of the Battlefield
The battle against the sword-wielding Five Elder was still raging.
Whitebeard, Golden Lion, Charlotte Linlin, and Kaido—four of the most dangerous pirates in the world—had teamed up against this single opponent.
Yet even four-on-one…
They were only barely gaining the upper hand.
"Damn it! This old bastard is even stronger than I imagined!" Kaido growled.
Before the fight, he had expected this elder to be a powerful monster.
But actually fighting him?
The overwhelming power made Kaido realize just how terrifying the enemy was.
"Even for an old man, he's still a damn monster," Whitebeard muttered.
Not even his battle against Fleet Admiral Kong at Hive Island had put this much strain on him.
The Five Elders weren't just political figures—they were warriors at the peak of the World Government's power.
Charlotte Linlin snapped in frustration. "Shiki, you damn coward! Stop slacking off and fight!"
Despite fighting together, Golden Lion was barely engaging, choosing to fight from a distance instead of direct confrontation.
This reluctance was holding them back.
"Tch. If I take a few more hits from this guy, I'll die. I'm not a fool, Linlin," Golden Lion replied coldly.
Before Charlotte Linlin had arrived, he had fought this Five Elder alone. The battle had left him covered in wounds, and his stamina was rapidly draining.
A single misstep could cost him his life.
"You coward! If you won't fight properly, why did we even save you?!" Charlotte Linlin spat.
"If I die, that Eternal Log Pose goes with me. So unless you want this entire mission to fail, you better keep me alive." Golden Lion grinned.
"Enough!" Whitebeard interrupted, his massive bisento swinging between them. "Stop arguing and focus on taking this old bastard down!"
Just then, a thunderous voice echoed across the battlefield.
"EDWARD! SHIKI! LINLIN! KAIDO!!!"
The four of them turned toward the source.
From the distance, a colossal golden Nine-Tailed Beast was charging toward them—Ayr in his full-tailed beast form.
"Jiehahaha! Ayr finished his fight?!" Golden Lion laughed. "Good! That makes it five-on-one!"
Against one Five Elder, they had only a slight advantage.
But with Ayr joining…
They could finally end this battle.
Kaido narrowed his eyes. "Wait. Someone's chasing him."
The others focused their Observation Haki.
Trailing behind Ayr was a blinding black streak—a figure moving at inhuman speeds.
"Another one…?!" Charlotte Linlin's eyes widened in disbelief.
The old man chasing Ayr wore a black suit, his long, straight hair flowing behind him.
His speed alone was terrifying.
"Another Five Elder?!"
The realization sent chills down their spines.
"Damn it! Ayr, you bastard! You brought another one here?!" Golden Lion cursed.
If it was one Five Elder, they had a chance.
But two?
They were no longer hunting the World Government—they were the hunted.
Whitebeard let out a deep laugh. "Gurarara! Ayr, you sure know how to bring trouble with you!"
The battlefield was about to change yet again.
Would they escape?
Or would Mariejois become their grave?
