Listening to those indifferent words, Galen heaved a secret sigh, "Julissa, l've looked into the matter today. Indeed, your mother was wrong. As your father, I apologize to you on behalf of your mother."
"If apologies could fix everything, what about the victims who have been hurt?"
Julissa's voice became even colder. "Can your sorry bring my Harley back to health? You hurt me, and I bore it, but why drag my son into this?"
She lowered her voice, probably out of fear it would disturb others. However, her anger was undiminished.
"I'm sorry, Julissa. I know no apology can make up for what happened, but could you, for the sake of our father-daughter relationship, consider not making things so absolute?" Galen pleaded.
