Chapter 60 - Chapter 55 (Part 1): Taking the goods, but not paying the money!

As a result, it wasn't just loud—it pierced through everything.

Whenever it was used, friend or foe made no difference.

Yet Herta used her puppet body for such errands, so she didn't suffer at all. The others bore all the consequences.

"Lady Herta, no one's going to agree to your plan. You should just give it up," Serval knew exactly why Herta had come. She sighed and advised her.

"Hmph. Just because it wasn't possible before doesn't mean it isn't now. Just wait." Herta smiled mysteriously.

Stelleing at the "mountain range" that had started to stir...

----------------------------------

Godzilla slightly raised his head, his eyes lazily watching the confident Herta in front of him.

Noticing the curiosity in Godzilla's eyes, Herta chuckled and then signaled Godzilla to look up.

Godzilla's gaze shifted upward, and a stretch of white clouds completely blocked the sky.

Yet, Godzilla could still sense the energy hidden behind the clouds.

Very familiar.

While Godzilla was still pondering this familiar feeling, his tail continued its duty, throwing a piece of ore into the magic furnace, his huge mouth.

"Ka, ka, ka."

The familiar feeling of his tail brushing his throat made Godzilla finally remember what was floating in the sky.

"Buzz ~!!"

A deliberately generated buzzing sound dispersed the clouds, and several massive, gorgeously styled, and familiar ships broke through the obstruction, appearing before everyone's eyes.

"Roar?" Godzilla let out a confused and curious roar.

He had naturally sensed the approaching ships.

But at the time, he assumed it was a backup force arranged by Silver Wolf, so he waited quietly.

Now, it seemed the situation was a bit unexpected.

"Those are IPC cargo ships? And more…" Yukong looked at the massive ships floating in the air, eyes widening slightly, muttering to herself.

Cargo ships also have different ranks. If the previous ten belonged to a high tier, then these were the top-level ones, typically reserved for transporting rare resources by IPC executives.

Herta stood with her hands on her hips, full of presence, the corners of her mouth curled into a smug smile.

"Want them? As long as you let me examine your body, they're all yours. And these are all premium goods you can't buy anywhere else."

All eyes focused on Herta.

The small Herta was extremely arrogant at this moment, certain that her plan would work.

"Roar." Godzilla let out a low growl.

"He means to put the goods down; he wants to inspect them," Tingyun said with a light smile.

Having spent enough time with Godzilla, she had learned to understand the subtle meanings in his roars—it wasn't hard.

"No problem." Herta nodded. Interest was a good sign; interest was all she needed.

She commanded the ores to be tilted out.

The ores emitted pure energy, their presence impossible to ignore.

Godzilla slowly rose, and under the pressure of his massive body, even the ships seemed insignificantly small.

"Tsk, how big can this guy even grow?"

Looking up at Godzilla, whose height had increased again, Herta couldn't help but marvel.

There were creatures in the universe larger than Godzilla, but most of them only roamed space, rarely coming to planets due to harsh environmental constraints.

But Godzilla, with an atomic furnace inside his body, could grow just by absorbing energy—totally incomparable.

"So, can you agree now?" Herta was confident that the intel she gathered was correct: Godzilla was very interested in this ore infused with energy.

Just a body check to get so much? She believed Godzilla would make the wise choice.

Sure enough, Godzilla used his thick tail to nudge the ore pile, scooped a small heap into his mouth, chewed for a moment, and then nodded in satisfaction.

Then he stretched his tail toward Herta.

Seeing Godzilla's movement, Herta became excited and started thinking about where to begin the examination.

When the tail was ten meters from her, the muscles on it suddenly tensed visibly, and the next second—

"Boom!"

As expected, Herta was sent flying.

The move directly startled the floating cargo ships, and one even shuddered in a human-like way, seemingly reflecting the panic of its crew.

"Phew!"

Hot breath met the cold air, instantly creating wisps of white mist, and the surrounding temperature rose a few degrees.

Godzilla glanced at the direction Herta flew off in, then contentedly flopped onto his new bed of ores.

"Um, Miss Herta, are you alright?"

Looking at Herta headfirst into a wall, with only her legs kicking outside, Yukong asked hesitantly.

Hearing Yukong's voice, the two legs on the wall kicked hard.

"Heave-ho!"

Shaking her head and tossing off debris, Herta stared at the dozing Godzilla in the distance, eyes full of clenched-teeth fury.

"Hehe."

Yukong had nothing to say about Herta's expression and responded only with a laugh of ambiguous meaning.

"Takes the goods and doesn't deliver—what a sneaky freeloader!"

Stomping her foot, Herta strongly condemned Godzilla's actions.

Not only did he not give her a chance, he even used her as a ball!

Today, the contest between Herta and Godzilla: Godzilla wins.

With no way to make Godzilla permit a check, Herta decided to call for outside help.

"Hmm? Miss Herta, what are you doing here?"

Yukong looked puzzled at Herta, one foot pressed against the wall as if waiting for someone.

"Waiting for you." Seeing Yukong arrive, Herta stopped her pose and turned her head to her.

"Yukong, the Navigator of Luofu's Sky-Faring Commission, one of the six executives, a genuine top figure of the Luofu."

Yukong quietly listened to Herta's introduction and calmly said,

"That doesn't seem like something Miss Herta would care about. Or are you thinking of joining the Luofu? If so, the people in the Artisanship Commission would be thrilled, and it's not impossible that General Jing Yuan would set up a unit just for you."

"Heh, spare me the formalities. I've never liked that kind of talk."

Herta shrugged. As the pinnacle of intellect in the universe, she had no real achievements in social interactions. Of course, no one would say Lady Herta didn't understand social niceties—instead, everyone said she was simply genuine.

True to herself.

"Although I'm not interested in those things, someone with your kind of energy shouldn't appear on the planet Jarilo. No one's ever been exiled here like this, so I'm guessing your goal is Godzilla too, right?"

Yukong neither confirmed nor denied it.

She had never hidden her true purpose—to build a good relationship with Godzilla.

Everyone, including Cocolia, could see why they came.

Hmm, even Yanqing.

Besides being sent to protect them, he also wanted to reclaim the dignity he had lost to Godzilla.

And no one felt uneasy about their arrival.

After all, who doesn't admire the mighty and imposing Godzilla?

Even more importantly, they were sincerely treating everyone with respect.

Godzilla didn't reject them, they meant no harm, and they could even help Jarilo recover—why should anyone refuse them?

"So, let's work together. If we join forces, I can use my connections to help you, and all you have to do is get him to agree to participate in my research. How about it? Pretty good deal, right?"

Herta never beat around the bush—she got straight to the point.

"Lady Herta, since Godzilla hasn't agreed, we as his friends have no right to interfere. If you really want to achieve your goal, you'd better figure out how to get Godzilla to agree. I've got things to do—excuse me."

Yukong shook her head and didn't agree. She took her long strides and passed right by Herta.

"Hey, hey, what's the rush? We can talk it over! Don't you people love negotiating? Let's keep talking. Ahem, though I don't know exactly what you're up to, you definitely want to use Godzilla's environmental adaptation capabilities."

Herta quickly grabbed Yukong, her tearful eyes looking pitiful as she tugged at Yukong's sleeve and swayed slightly.

"..." Yukong sighed helplessly.

She'd long heard that Lady Herta would do anything for a topic she was interested in—now she saw it firsthand.

After a moment's hesitation, Yukong spoke.

"Lady Herta, it's said that you've completed the formula for reversing aging, but age still continues to increase. So I'm really curious about your mindset… well, forget it."

The more she said, the more off-topic it got, so Yukong stopped herself.

"…So, will you agree or not?"
