The next day, Kazuto woke up and followed his daily routine. He finished his morning exercise, got ready and went to school.
He arrived 20 minutes before the class started and Momo this time started the conversation "Kazuto, did you see the news?"
Kazuto sat down at his desk and said "No, Why? Anything I should know?"
Momo showed him her phone, in which a news page was open. The headline read "Kid Surpasses All Might". Kazuto continued reading and they were talking about his score in the test.
"This news blew up in a single night. Although they don't know who Kazuto is, I don't think it will be long before someone recognised you." Momo said.
Kazuto said "I wanted a peaceful life outside school, but I guess I was asking too much."
In his head, he said to himself "It won't be long before the USJ incident and then nothing will be peaceful and normal."
Momo chuckled at his comment and they spoke for the whole 20 minutes until the classes started. The first half of the day, they had normal lessons like English, Math, etc.
Kazuto had no interest in listening to the classes and started doodling in his notebook. When all the morning classes were done, it was time for lunch.
Everyone made their way to the cafeteria, where the hero Lunch Rush cooks balanced meals everyday at low prices and there was no limit to how many meals you can buy.
This was a blessing for Kazuto, whose appetite kept increasing as he kept getting stronger. So, when he arrived at the cafeteria, he took a huge bowl of rice and multiple servings of side dish, which was worth three servings.
Looking at his plate, Mina asked Kazuto "Kazuto, can you actually finish all that food?"
Kazuto replied "I might even need seconds. My appetite has been increasing as I kept getting stronger. I need a lot of food for my body to be in perfect shape."
The group of Kazuto, Mina, Asui, Kirishima and Momo walked through the cafeteria looking for an empty table. While walking around, he looked at the students from class 1A and class 1B.
He said to himself "No one from my centre managed to get in. Did I overdo it a little? Even if I did, I can't do anything about it now. No point in thinking about it."
They got an empty seat and everyone started eating, talking about various things in between. Kazuto looked at Momo sitting beside him and saw how she was eating with a certain level of elegance.
Kazuto started at her beautiful face for a while and went back to his food. Momo wasn't going to go anywhere, but his food might get cold. With his priorities set straight, he dug in. Unlike Momo, he was eating as fast as possible.
His friends wondered if he was even chewing the food? In less than 5 minutes, he was done and went for more. Lunch Rush, who was serving curry, looked at Kazuto, remembering his face from the Practical test. All the teachers were present at that test.
He said "Kazuto, don't hesitate to come for more. You kids are growing and need to eat properly."
Kazuto said "Yes sir" and took his second serving of curry.
He went back to the table and again, within minutes, he was done eating. Momo looked like she wanted to say something, but decided to hold it till he was done eating.
He went for more and Kirishima turned to Mina and said "He is like the comic book characters who look normal but has a huge appetite."
Kazuto returned with his third serving. He ate and went back. When he was done, he had finished seven servings and the whole table looked at him with shock.
"Are you human, or are you Kirby?" Kirishima asked and Kazuto just chuckled.
Asui said "I have never seen someone eat that much food."
Kazuto patted his stomach and said "Now that I am full, I am ready for anything this school throws at me."
Momo then decided to speak and said "Kazuto, you should eat slowly, enjoying the taste of the food and only then will you realise the effort that went into making these meals. Also, we have Hero Basics after lunch. This much food will make it difficult for you to perform your best."
Kazuto replied "Momo, I am currently at my best. I can't perform well with an half empty stomach. As for the effort of the chef, Lunch Rush is very happy that a student is enjoying his food this much."
Momo decided to not say anything since Kazuto wasn't listening. They went back to the class and before long, the bell rang and it was time for the Hero Basics class.
Everyone were in their seats, waiting for the teacher and that's when everyone heard a familiar voice "I am....". The door slid open and All Might entered with a dramatic pose ".. coming through the door like a normal person."
Everyone's face lit up immediately started cheering for All Might. Asui pointed out "He is wearing his Silver Age costume". Kirishima said "He really is going to teach us". Kaminari said "I am getting goosebumps".
All Might walked into the class and screamed with his usual superhero tone "Today is your first Hero Basics class and we are going to start with...Battle Trial."
A huge grin appeared on Bakugo's face and Midoriya was nervous. "And you are going to be battling in....your hero costumes." All Might said and pointed to the wall on his right, where cabinets popped out. Inside them were briefcases with numbers on them.
"Change quickly and meet me at Practice ground C" All Might said and left the class. Kazuto said to himself "That's where my Practical test was conducted".
Everyone basically ran to the changing room with their costumes, eager to try them on for the first time. Kazuto was also excited when he saw a long curve on the top of his briefcase.
Kazuto also changed into his costume and got into the bus with others, which took them to the Practice ground. They got down and walked to the area where All Might was waiting for them.
"Looks are also important boys and girls. Be aware that from today, are also heros." All Might said as the class walked towards him.
The class gathered in front of him and he took a quick glance at their costumes. "You all look great." All Might said. His gaze stopped at a kid with red hair and scar on his eye, wearing a white shirt half buttoned, brown pants, sandles, a katana tied to his waist and a long black, long collared cape. 'What is he wearing?' he though.
When Kazuto was designing his costume, he had a lot of ideas and didn't know what to do. That's when he looked at himself and realised "There is nothing that can help me with my quirk. The costume is only for my identity. I have red hair, a scar on my eye, I use a sword and I know haki. Why not lean into his look completely." Kazuto said and designed his costume going for Shanks' looks. The costume was also comfortable. He just asked them to make it out of fireproof and a durable material so they don't burn or get destroyed in a fight.
All Might then looked at Midoriya and how his costume was trying to imitate him. He wanted to laugh, but controlled himself.
Momo looked at Kazuto and asked "Is that a real katana?"
Kazuto nodded. Kirishima looked at Kazuto's katana and said "A katana. Dude, how is it that everything you do is so cool and manly."
Kazuto chuckled and then noticed Mineta starting at Momo's costume, drooling. Kazuto looked at himannd for a brief moment, their eyes met and a single glare from Kazuto was enough to send shivers all over his body.
Mineta clicked his tongue and turned to Uraraka muttering "Hero course is the best". Kirishima also noticed this and just smiled.
All Might then addressed the class "Now, let's begin the class younglings."
Iida raised his hand and asked "We had our practical test in similar grounds. Is it similar to our practical test?"
All Might replied "No, we are going two steps ahead. In you practical test, you fought outside and this often not the case in real life. Hostage situations, kidnaps, illegal activities, all happen indoors. That's why we are going to simulate this situation. I will divide you into heros and villains in groups of two."
Asui asked "Without any basic training?"
All Might replied "This is basic training. But, since there are no robots, you can't just blindly attack."
Then everyone started firing questions at him "How is the winner decided?" "Can I blow them up?" "How close can you be to a girl?" "How will we be divided?". Even Kazuto asked "How much are we allowed to hurt them?"
'Too many questions' All Might thought in his head and took out a cheat sheet from his pocket.
"Alright, the story is that the villains are hiding a huge bomb somewhere in the building and will go off in 10 minutes. The heroes must either capture the villains or recover the bomb. Similarly, the villains canneither capture the heroes or stall for 10 minutes." All Might explained.
Kazuto then asked "Why didn't the heroes call for backup?"
All Might replied "The reinforcements won't make it in time."
Kazuto asked again "What is the villains' backstory?"
All Might clutched the paper tightly and said "You are free to make up your own backstory."
Kazuto chuckled and stopped. Momo tapped his arm and asked "Why did you do that?"
Kazuto replied with a smile "I was messing with him. I couldn't help it once I saw the cheat sheet in his hands."
Momo shook her head and said "You don't take anything seriously."
Kazuto replied "Thanks for the compliment."
All Might then sorted them into teams randomly:
Team A: Midoriya and Uraraka
Team B: Todoroki and Shoji
Team C: Momo and Mineta
Team D: Bakugo and Iida
Team E: Aoyama and Mina
Team F: Koda and Ojiro
Team G: Jiro and Kaminari
Team H: Asui and Tokoyami
Team I: Kazuto and Hagakure
Team J: Sero and Kirishima
All might then stood in front of two tall boxes and took out a ball from each of them. "Alright, first match is between Team A as heroes and Team D as villains."
"The villains will be given five minutes to prepare for battle. The rest, follow me to the monitor room." All Might said.
Kazuto looked at Bakugo and Midoriya. Midoriya looked nervous while Bakugo had an evil smile on his face.
They went to the monitor room and watched the battle proceed exactly as in the anime, except for when Bakugo screamed "You sick bastard" or "Don't you like pain".
After the match, Bakugo, Iida and Uraraka were standing beside All Might, Bakugo still trembling and in a state of shock. All Might said "Iida was the one who performed the best in this trial."
Asui asked "Even though the villain team lost?"
All Might decided to quiz the students and asked "I wonder why? Does anyone in the class know the answer?"
Momo then raised her hand and answered "Uraraka exposed her position carelessly and was not serious. Her attack at the end could've hit the bomb and if it was real, it would go off. Midoriya was reckless, which is reflected by his injuries and caused a lot of property damage. Bakugo was driven by his personal grudge and as you mentioned earlier, it was foolish to set off a large scale attack. Iida was the only one who quickly adapted to his role and made no mistakes."
'That was actually too detailed' All Might said.
All Might then walked to the boxes to decide the next match. He said "Now, let's move to the next match. Remember the feedback and keep training."
All Might then took out a ball from each box and announced "Next round is between Team B as heroes and Team I as villains."
Everyone was now excited for this match. Kirishima said "Now it is getting interesting. The first in the practical test vs the scholarship student."
All Might was also looking forward for the match. He announced "Alright get to your positions. Villains, you have 5 minutes to prepare."
Kirishima asked Momo "Who do you think will win?"
Momo replied "Based on what we have seen, Kazuto is strong and has high chances of winning, but we still haven't seen Todoroki's combat abilities. We cannot conclude who will win. We have to wait and see."
