As soon as the strange figure disappeared, two other people appeared in its place. One was the leader of the Immortal Mist, Kamu, and the other was one of the leaders of the Shadows, Mark. The two men had gone up to Flying Air Barracks mostly to try to track the foregner's energies. But to their greatest surprise, there was no trace of the alleged Onegod, not even a single breath.
"Where did that clown come from?" Kamu asked through clenched teeth as he crouched down, hoping to sense something from the strange figure near the ground. However, he didn't even feel a spark of the hegin's presence.
"I want to know that too. He knew a lot more than he should have." Mark grumbled, but he just stood in front of him with his arms folded.
"Even about some things he really shouldn't have known about." Kamu agreed and stood up. "Do you know what I find strange?" The leader of the Immortal Mist asked the question.
"What?" Mark turned to his former leader.
"That guy was standing here on the edge of Floating Air Barracks and the director was nowhere to be found." Kamu looked at the deputy director with piercing eyes.
"You're talking about Weruh, his is known for not being where he should be." The western man rolled his eyes.
"Don't you find it a bit strange that so many important people are present and he's not?" The Ishán of the Mist asked.
"I bet you don't know where everyone he mentioned is. I don't know them all either." Mark shrugged.
"It's still strange that he didn't mention him." The former hegin was getting stricter.
"Maybe Weruh isn't in town." Mark rolled his eyes.
"Or he's colluding with this clown." Kamu growled, which finally made the deputy director of Floating Air Barracks sigh heavily.
"Okay. Let's go find out if he knew about it. We'll meet at the teachers' rooms. I still have to get She Tao to safety." The spy man said seriously.
"Don't wait too long." Kamu glanced at him seriously, then walked calmly towards the teachers' rooms of the school. And Mark, as he said, went back to She Tao and despite all the man's objections, took him back to his room, just so that the spy could then hurry after his former boss.
"I'm here." The deputy director of Floating Air Barracks stopped next to Kamu, who was leaning against the wall.
"I was just thinking about going after you." The leader of the Immortal Mist pulled his lips into a half smile and pushed himself away from the wall. "So, where is that chán's room?" He asked with a serious face.
"Why doesn't it surprise me that you know he's a chán?" Mark asked the ironic question that made Kamu laugh.
"It's not for nothing that I'm the Ishán. Floating Barracks is my territory, if someone wants to build here, they have to ask me for permission. He did the same." Kamu shrugged.
"It's interesting that I've never come across those papers." The spy mused aloud.
"Because I keep the cases of Floating Barracks next to the cases of the Immortal Mist, which are in my office." The Ishán explained with a wave.
"I understand. You can't just go in there, not even a Vietryk." Mark nodded.
"Exactly! So which room is his?" The ghost-man repeated the original question.
"Follow me!" The spy waved and started down the corridor of the teachers' rooms until they reached a certain door. "I'm not sure if he's still here, but this is his room." Mark stopped and knocked without waiting for Kamu's reaction. "See? I told you he wasn't here." The man noted when they hadn't heard any movement for a minute.
"Of course he is." Kamu announced, then not even caring that he might be overdoing it a bit, he simply kicked the director's door in. This action was followed by a loud scream. "So? What did I say? He's here!" Kamu dusted the non-existent dirt off his hands and simply walked into the room.
"Mukei?" The director's eyes widened.
"I'm glad you're not blind, Sesanti. I have a talk with you!" The Ishán said seriously, then simply took a seat in one of the armchairs.
"Mark? What are you doing here?" The director asked.
"I came to ask you to account for skulking in your room when your school is in danger!" The man being questioned put his hands on his hips.
"Of course I'm skulking here! That madman is out there! By the way! Please tell me he's gone!" Weruh folded his hands in supplication.
"I think this answers one of our questions." Kamu spoke in a cold voice, which made the seer chán turn to him.
"What question?" Weruh grimaced.
"Do you know who the monkey who called himself the Onegod was?" The leader of the Immortal Mist shrugged. "Judging by your reaction, you know who it is."
"I have no idea!" Kamu was interrupted by the director of Floating Air. "All I know is that if he shows up, chaos will break out and it's best to avoid him as far as possible." He explained and even gestured at nothing, as if his words weren't enough to convey the information.
"Is he really the Onegod?" Mark asked, now standing with folded arms in the doorway of the principal's office, thus blocking the only escape route.
"Why are you looking at me as if you want to eavesdrop? I don't know anything!" The director apologized and even raised his hands in the air.
"You didn't answer the question, Weruh." Kamu stopped the flood of excuses in their tracks. "You'll get rid of us faster if you cooperate." He flashed a smile that didn't promise anything good at all towards the director.
"I don't know if he's the real Onegod, but he calls himself that and people refer to him when they talk about the Onegod." The seer spread his arms in despair.
"Did you know he would appear today?" Kamu asked the next question.
"I had no idea, but as soon as I sensed him, I locked myself in. Usually, if you're not in his way, he leaves you alone. I was even glad that the wretch came here tonight. There's less chance of him running into someone." The headmaster shivered.
"How does he know so much?" Mark continued his questioning, which only made the headmaster grimace.
"I'd like to know that too. As you can see, I don't know anything about him. I just recognize his power when he's around me." Weruh folded his arms in front of him defensively.
"Okay. I see you won't be of any use to us. It seems we'll have to solve this little problem our own way." Kamu stood up and headed for the door, but before leaving with Mark, he looked back at the headmaster. "Oh and Weruh. I recommend that next time you protect your students instead of your own ass, because in the end I'll have to break our contract and disband your little school. Did I make myself clear?" He asked with an evil smile.
"Absolutely." The principal nodded with a grimace, to which he received a nod in return, and then the two unwanted guests left.
"I'm not sure you should have threatened him so much." Mark noted, when he and Kamu were far enough away from the principal's room.
"Ah, I didn't even want to do that. The school is good for business. I just wanted to scare him a little to take his job more seriously." Kamu shrugged. "Oh, by the way can you and your little friend spare some time for me two days from now?" He asked, to which Mark looked at him questioningly.
"Of course, but why?" The former Vietryk asked.
"Surprise." Kamu chuckled. "Then I'll will send someone for you to the main square in two days, when the sun rises. Until then, may the ghosts be with you." The ghost-man said farewell and immediately turned into mist.
