...

"How about it?"

"...It can't be transmitted back."

"Why not?"

"Ah… Naruto-sama... Phew, Naruto's existence is just too unique."

"The White Zetsu have completely rebelled—they're refusing to obey any longer."

"Obito took the bait. He's mobilizing a hundred thousand White Zetsu to capture the Two-Tails. His next stop should be Iwagakure."

Black Zetsu's expression turned grim.

"No matter what, we need to act at the right time. Nagato no longer has the Rinnegan and is in a weakened state. We must succeed."

Meanwhile, Obito stood before the gates of Kumogakure.

"Hahaha... the more chaos, the better. By the time any of you figure it out, I'll already have gathered enough Tailed Beasts."

Whoosh—

On the battlefield, Uchiha Madara formed a series of hand seals and slammed his hands into the ground.

Chakra erupted like a geyser.

Boom! Boom!

Countless massive tree roots burst from the earth.

"Wood Release: Advent of a World of Trees!"

Madara inhaled deeply, then raised his hands and slashed them forward toward Naruto.

Whoosh—

In the blink of an eye, a wave of colossal roots surged toward him, shaking the entire battlefield.

"Even Wood Release? Damn it... This bastard Madara really did transplant my brother's cells!"

Senju Tobirama cursed internally and prepared to dive in to rescue the shinobi engaged in combat.

But someone was faster.

Whoosh—

Naruto appeared ahead of the assembled Allied Shinobi Forces.

"If that's all, your Wood Release is still too weak."

From Kabuto's vantage point through Mū's eyes, he saw Naruto standing tall. A smirk crept across his face.

"This is the advantage of fighting in Konoha. You can dodge the technique—but Konoha can't. That's the point."

"As long as I can keep using Uchiha Madara, I won't lose this war. I didn't expect Black Zetsu's 'gift' to be this powerful... Lord Orochimaru, Uchiha Sasuke will soon be mine."

But then, Kabuto froze.

So did Madara.

No—everyone froze.

The great wave of roots summoned by the Tree World Advent, which moments ago charged with overwhelming force, suddenly halted... right in front of Naruto.

Worse—no, impossibly—the roots seemed to recognize him. Like pets seeking affection, they coiled gently around his feet.

"...What is this?"

Tobirama blinked. "This kid… How's he doing this?!"

Even Hashirama stood slack-jawed. Beneath him, the Great Buddha statue of his Sage Art seemed to waver, losing stability.

Naruto laid a hand on the roots, and one gently curled underneath him, lifting him into the air like a throne of living wood.

"Impossible!" Madara growled. He clenched his hands into fresh seals and surged more chakra into the jutsu.

Even more roots sprang from the earth, rushing toward Naruto.

But again—each root that reached him stopped short... and submitted.

They betrayed Madara.

Just like the White Zetsu had.

Finally, Madara released his hands and let them fall.

The corners of his mouth lifted in awe.

"...You were right. This Uzumaki Naruto isn't someone to be underestimated."

Kabuto was utterly silent. He had no words left.

Madara crossed his arms, his gaze deepening. "These trees, this world—they are like people. Eventually, they fall ill. Eventually, they die."

"That's why they should sleep forever... in the Infinite Tsukuyomi."

The air rippled. Blue chakra surged around him.

Susanoo's skeletal form began to take shape.

"...Do you want to dance, too?" Madara asked with a grin.

Naruto spread his arms wide. "You're right. Everything you said… is right."

But convincing a man like Uchiha Madara with words?

Impossible.

Even when the truth is plain to see, he would still weigh it against the path he has chosen.

So there's only one option:

Beat him senseless.

And when Black Zetsu's new Rinnegan awakens—

Beat him again.

"Haha... So you don't agree with me after all."

"You're not as soft as Hashirama—but the path you're walking still won't work."

Madara's interest in Naruto only grew.

Naruto stepped forward, thick tree roots unfurling beneath his feet like a living platform.

As he approached Madara, his eyes turned a burning red.

"That's… Mangekyō? No, wait… Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan?"

Madara's brows shot up in disbelief.

But he quickly narrowed them. "...No... That chakra… That pupil power... it's not quite the Uchiha bloodline. It's familiar, yet... different."

"Like this?" Naruto asked, smiling.

His chakra and ocular power surged.

Buzz—

Blue chakra crackled to life around him.

In moments, Susanoo's skeletal frame began forming.

Madara was floored.

"That Susanoo... It looks familiar… Wait—that's mine!"

Only now did he realize:

His resurrection hadn't followed the rules.

He wasn't a reincarnation.

And from the beginning, everything had gone off-script.

"Heh… hehe… HAHAHA!!"

Madara threw back his head and erupted into manic Uchiha laughter.

"Interesting... very interesting!!"

BOOM—

Behind him, the tree roots—ones he thought were still under his command—lunged.

A sudden strike—

"Hmm?"

Madara sensed the movement behind him instantly. His sharp gaze flicked toward Naruto—no malice, no sneak attack hidden in those eyes.

"Some technique or... nature chakra affinity," Madara muttered, "can grant plants a form of sentience. Your ability is the natural enemy of Wood Release."

Snap—

Madara's Susanoo blocked the attack, but more roots surged forward in waves.

Naruto stood still, the whispers of the trees flooding his ears.

He scratched his nose, awkward. These roots are way too blunt when they talk.

In an instant, Madara was completely surrounded.

Boom!

A burst of blue chakra shattered the wooden binds.

Madara shot into the sky, Susanoo now fully formed in its initial stage.

"These things… Their attacks are more ferocious than my own. If you truly controlled them…"

He grinned.

"I, Uchiha Madara, hereby name you—the strongest Wood Release ninja in the Shinobi World!"

Off to the side, Mei Terumi glanced over and licked her lips, a smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth.

"Mmm, I like men who aren't so easy to melt."

"You mean me?" asked Kiri's Hozuki Mangetsu, pointing to himself.

"…You can keep dreaming."

Boom!

Madara raised his hand—Susanoo mirrored the movement and threw a punch.

Naruto didn't budge. His own Susanoo remained in its base form.

Boom—

The blow landed, but Naruto stood unmoved. It was Madara who frowned.

The force of Susanoo's punch… is weakening?

"Don't tell me—this guy can absorb chakra too?"

Naruto didn't retaliate immediately. He never rushed. To conquer someone like Madara, brute force wasn't enough.

You had to crush everything they believed in—inch by inch, strike by strike.

Whatever they prided themselves on, you'd shatter it, methodically and utterly.

Even the Senju, renowned for their resilience, wouldn't survive that kind of pressure.

After all, battles evolve—no two strikes land the same way. Some fast. Some slow. Some loud. Some silent. But each one matters.

Madara scoffed. "Tch."

He pulled Susanoo's arm back—only to find most of it gone.

Though he could restore it almost instantly, it was clear: without a proper countermeasure, he'd be forced onto the defensive.

"He's really absorbing it…"

Madara's eyes sharpened.

He raised one hand—Susanoo followed—and entered its second form.

Several glowing blue Yasaka Magatama materialized above him.

Whoosh—

With a single motion, Madara hurled them at Naruto.

Naruto folded his arms, mimicking Madara's previous stance. The tree roots shifted beneath his feet.

A massive wooden hand lifted him into the air.

Another arm rose from the earth.

In seconds, Naruto stood atop a colossal wood golem, wrapped in his own Susanoo.

Together, the wooden titan and the ethereal warrior reached out and caught every single Yasaka Magatama mid-air.

Hiss... hiss... hiss—

The brilliant magatama dimmed, dissolving like steam under intense heat.

"Oh?"

Madara's eyes narrowed. "That's clever."

Without missing a beat, Madara summoned four chakra blades into Susanoo's hands.

He lunged.

Naruto responded in kind. His Susanoo and the wooden golem each summoned chakra sabers.

Boom! Boom!

Their blades clashed mid-air. Shockwaves tore through the battlefield, uprooting trees and shattering stone.

"Tch," Madara clicked his tongue. "Why does it feel like I'm fighting myself in a mirror?!"
