"You little rascal!" Tsunade exclaimed, pinching Kadoya's cheek and pulling it so hard that his face stretched out comically. "Do you have any idea how dangerous your stunt was!?"
"Seriously, pretending to be captured and waltzing right into the enemy stronghold?" Her tone was a mix of disbelief and fury, the vein on her forehead throbbing like it was about to pop. "Do you think those Suna ninja are just harmless neighbors!?"
"Yes," he answered calmly, not even flinching as she twisted his cheek a little harder.
The truth was, his week-long "vacation" in Sunagakure's stronghold had been surprisingly pleasant. The food was decent, the supplies were plentiful, and he'd managed to snag quite a haul, food, money, kunai, shuriken, fuma shuriken, new ninjutsu… hell, he even picked up a few tricks from their Puppet Master techniques.
The quality isn't as great as Danzo's man, but the quantity makes up for it, so...
Umu! 3.8 Stars.
"Tsunade-sensei…" Kadoya began with a grin, holding up a large bottle of sake. "You really shouldn't frown so much. It'll give you wrinkles."
Her eyelid twitched. She reached out and set the sake bottle down firmly on her desk. "Out. You're staying in the camp until further notice, understood?"
"You're the best, Sensei." He beamed, and without another word, strolled out of the tent, no punishment in sight. Tsunade glanced at the bottle of sake, then quickly pocketed it.
"Oh, right, Sensei!" Kadoya's head popped back into the tent. "Can you give me all the known locations of those Land of Sky ninja? I ran into a few during my mission."
Tsunade frowned, ready to kick him out again, but after a second's thought, she just waved him off dismissively. "Just leave. I'll let you know if we find anything."
Honestly, she didn't like the idea of Kadoya running off and stirring up trouble, but if he had to fight someone, she'd rather it be some no-name village than one of the Five Great Nations like Suna or Iwa. Counting this one, he'd already wrecked at least two enemy strongholds. By the time he returned to Konoha, she figured he'd be Special Jonin, maybe even Jonin.
Just thinking about it made her swell with pride.
She crossed her arms, smirking to herself. Someday, she'd get to point at him and brag, That's my disciple. Straight from Genin to Jonin.
For now, she reasoned, sending him off to deal with some rogue ninja from lesser villages wasn't such a bad idea. Let him get it out of his system.
Evil Point: 10350
Kadoya couldn't help but smile seeing the many points that he obtained from a week of camping with those Suna nin.
For other shinobi when performing spy work, they mostly have to be cautious and be on high alert increase of their identity from being exposed, which could lead to the mission failing, and them causing trouble for their village.
But when Kadoya did it, he acted so normal that if any other spy were around, they might have thought he was actually a Suna shinobi.
Still, Kadoya couldn't help but wonder when he could get another chance to storm into another stronghold.
After leaving the commander's tent, he made his way swiftly back to his own, where he found Saiguu covered head-to-toe in bandages.
"What happened?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Tsunade-sama is just… unreasonable," Saiguu muttered, wincing as she pressed a hand to her stomach. "She's a masochist. I swear, even after feeling her own punches, she can still keep going."
Kadoya just nodded. He knew Tsunade was Konoha's top medical ninja. Saiguu's way of misusing the Healing Jutsu has caused Tsunade to "corrected" her with her… unique training methods.
"Where's Nawaki?" Kadoya asked, glancing around the tent. "Don't tell me he finally kicked the bucket."
Saiguu just jerked her chin to the side. Kadoya turned his head and saw a long, black shape lying motionless on the ground in the corner.
"Nawaki?" he called, unsure if this was Nawaki or just his charred remains.
"…Here," came a low groan from the heap.
"I see. Still alive then," Kadoya murmured, before dropping down onto his bed and promptly ignoring Nawaki.
Days passed with Kadoya stuck in camp-arrest, courtesy of Tsunade. While his friends went out on missions, he was forced to remain behind, his days filled with mind-numbing practice like throwing kunai from eight hundred meters away.
"Huh. I actually hit it," he muttered to himself, feeling the crushing weight of boredom. Normally, he'd just summon a hundred shadow clones and train until he dropped, but in the current camp setup, that wasn't an option.
So, bored out of his mind, he picked up another kunai and gave it another go.
More time slipped by. Eventually, he found himself sitting cross-legged in his tent, flipping through a report Jiro had just delivered.
"What the hell…?" he murmured, eyes scanning the document.
Even with the village at war, Danzo was still stirring up trouble in Konoha. His Root operatives, along with certain members of the Shimura, Mitokato, and Utatane clans, were causing deliberate disruptions, stirring up fights, smashing up stores, anything to provoke the Uchiha Police Force.
And of course, when the Uchiha responded to break up the violence and arrested the troublemakers, those same people would be released a few days later… only to come back and claim the Uchiha were too violent. And the Third Hokage was actually allowing this to happen.
Kadoya stared at the report, his expression slack with disbelief. Then, so abruptly that he nearly tore the parchment, he fell off the bed in shock.
"What the hell is this?" he demanded, leaping back to his feet, still clutching the scroll in his hand.
His own so-called allies were sabotaging their own village, and Hiruzen Sarutobi was turning a blind eye?
"Good. Really good," Kadoya said, a dangerous glint in his eye. "Two can play at that game."
He sat down, snatching up a brush and parchment, and began writing his own message for Jiro to deliver back to the village.
When Jiro returned to the Uchiha District, she gave Fumo the scroll, taking a [Super Delicious Canned Food] before leaving.
Fumo opened the scroll and read it out loud, the other members inside the Naka Shrine perking their ears up to listen.
Upon opening the large scroll, Fumo and others saw a few smaller scrolls fall out of it.
Here are a few Wind Release Ninjutsu I picked up, add them to the Clan archive.
Reading the first part, the Uchiha actually feel a bit surprised, since their Clan Head was currently in war, yet he has managed to gather a decent amount of ninjutsu to bring back to the clan.
Have the ninja in the Uchiha test their Chakra Nature, then give them scrolls related to their chakra nature, have them train during their free time, and overall increase the Clan's strength.
Reading the second part, the Uchiha in the room couldn't help but feel excited seeing their Clan Head wanting them to increase their strength, plus, they would get access to a few more ninjutsu in the Clan archive thanks to him.
Still, Fumo and the other elders of the Clan were more interested in how Kadoya would deal with how the village higher-ups were treating the Uchiha.
When going out on patrol and interacting with the villagers, every Uchiha must maintain a smile and a good attitude toward them. If they annoy you too much and you feel like you want to get violent, just activate your Sharingan, but keep the smile and attitude.
The Uchiha: "..."
All the Uchiha in the room didn't know what to say to this.
Many have started to suspect that Kadoya was just messing with them, as a few of them try smiling, which makes those standing beside them feel a chill running up their spine.
This earns them a smack on the head, telling them to stop it.
Was he trying to threaten the village or something?
"Ahem, since this is the order from our Clan Head. We all must follow his order." Fumo hurriedly said, seeing the many skeptical looks on their face, so he quickly reminded them.
Since Kadoya has trusted him with the position of temporary Clan Head, if he failed a simple task of telling the Uchiha to smile when meeting the villagers, then no matter what happens next, the Clan Head would most likely drag him out to "dance" first.
He saw how hard the Clan Head hit, he doesn't want to leave his bed at home to stay in a hospital bed.
"Are we really going to go through with this?" Setsuna asks, still skeptical about letting the Uchiha smile when interacting with the village.
"Just follow it. Or do you want to dance with him when he comes back?" Fumo asks, which causes Setsuna to scoff before turning away. Not wanting to answer the question, but everyone already knew the answer just by his reaction.
Setsuna didn't want to dance with him.
Kadoya's breathing technique was a huge boost to the Clan's power, helping them control their breath, increase their stamina, and even strengthen the Clan Taijutsu. There is another part of the breathing technique, but the Clan Head seals off that part under the condition that they must awaken the hidden power of this breathing technique first.
This hidden power was Hamon. Kadoya had sealed off this part and had only left it readable for those who somehow awakened Hamon.
So, to those who couldn't awaken Hamon, they would just see the rest of the scroll.
Of course, Kadoya didn't have high hopes for them to awaken a power from another world, but due to how random his system actually worked, who knew that one day he would unlock an ability that let them use Hamon or any other power from another world.
Fumo returned his gaze back toward the scroll and read the final line of instruction Kadoya gave them.
From now on, the Konoha Military Police Force will only deal with huge matters like enemy spies, enemy attacks, etc... As for small matters like those petty conflicts between villagers...
Fumo paused, blinked, and rubbed his eyes before looking down at the last part.
"What's the matter, Fumo?" Setsuna asks, and Fumo just handed the scroll to Setsuna.
"HUH!?"
The last part of the instruction was two bold words.
... ignore them.
Back in the Konoha camp in the Land of Rain.
Kadoya was busy doing the rat dance, still bored with nothing better to do.
After reading the information about the situation back in Konoha, his order could be summed up as getting stronger. He already knew that those small issues in the village were caused by the Konoha F4, so it's better to just ignore them.
Since it's war time, it is unlikely that Konoha would face any huge matters that actually need the Uchiha's attention.
For now, this is the best solution he could think of, other methods needed him to be present in the Village to actually work.
"Oi! Kadoya-" Jiraiya walked into the tent, seeing Kadoya doing the rat dance, he paused, somewhat amused by his action.
His friends and comrade are risking their lives out on the battlefield, yet he could still dance so casually. Other kids his age right now would probably be worried or trained to hopefully get stronger, thus increasing their survival chances.
"Yo." Kadoya simply greeted the white-haired future writer before his eyes flashed crimson.
The next thing Jiraiya knew was that he was standing beside Kadoya, also doing the rat dance with him.
"Oi, kid! What the hell did you do!?" He questioned, unable to control his body while also not knowing that their shadow are being connected by a single small threat.
"Dancing." Kadoya simply said, as the song, Rat Dance type beat (Slowed & Reverb) played in his head.
"Tch! Cut it out, kid, Tsunade said she has news about a few Sky Ninja bases. She asks me to call you over." He said.
Kadoya's ahoge: "!"
He stopped the dance, and their shadow disconnected.
"I see, then I'll be going now." He said with a smirk before casually swaggering out of the tent, which oddly resembled Tom the Cat.
Letting out a sigh, Jiraiya scratched his head. "Honestly, I wonder how Minato could deal with a troublesome brat like him."
This question has been asked by many, but there is still no answer to this day. As both Minato and Kadoya's personalities seem to be the opposite of each other.
One is kind and polite, the other is smug and cocky.
One has a warm smile that can brighten someone's day, the other smile looks like he is about to commit genocide.
One is well-behaved and follows orders, the other is a wildcard that usually does whatever it wants.
Yet they are so close, people might suspect the two to be brothers.
