Cherreads

Chapter 41 - 41

The vault spiraled into chaos.

Aurex reeled, slashing wildly with jagged ice limbs, his unstable body warping with each strike. Viora screamed from his pores—unfiltered, venomous, alive with pain.

Kiro ducked under a sweeping frost-arm, his Blood Venom Mantle reacting like instinct. He twisted, palm glowing, then launched a piercing strike into Aurex's back.

"Pablo!" he shouted. "Now!"

From the opposite end, Pablo surged forward. His Dark Levithan blade cut through reality like a tidal fang. With every step, black water roared beneath him, feeding his power. He struck high—cleaving into Aurex's shoulder—and the mad warlord stumbled, roaring in agony.

"You insects—!" Aurex howled.

Then the chamber groaned.

The Omega Core pulsed red.

Its heart opened—no longer protected by shields or containment seals.

System Warning: Omega Core Detonation Sequence — 60 Seconds to Discharge

Aurex staggered back, bleeding frost, laughter bubbling from his lips.

"If I die… I'm taking the sky with me."

He shoved his hands into the core. Viora flooded from him—wild, raw, unstable.

The countdown screamed.

Kiro turned to the terminal.

His mind spun.

"We won't make it. It's already cascading—"

Then something shifted in the Blood God System.

Prompt: Energy Source Detected — Omega Class. Absorption Potential: Fatal. Risk: Absolute. Proceed?

He clenched his teeth.

"No other way."

Blood surged up his arm, veins turning crimson-black. He stepped into the light of the Omega Core—and let it feed into him.

"Blood God System… Devour it."

The energy raced into his chest—burning, screaming, infinite. The core's destructive power surged through his nerves, trying to unmake him.

But the system held.

Kiro's eyes blazed red. His aura expanded—a towering godlike wave of blood and venom, swirling around him like an executioner's storm.

Aurex's body twisted unnaturally.

"You think you can win?" he screamed. "Then watch what happens when a soul detonates!"

He rammed both hands into his chest—Viora overloaded. His internal circuits ruptured. His armor cracked.

"I AM THE ICE THAT REMEMBERS!"

System Alert: Energy Spike Reached Cataclysmic Threshold. Teleport Available. Feed Required.

Kiro reached for Pablo, who was slumped on the floor, bleeding.

"Hang on—!"

He poured every ounce of absorbed energy into the teleport matrix—channeling it through the Blood God core.

"Now, system—DO IT!"

Red glyphs burst open beneath them.

Kiro's hand closed around Pablo's shoulder.

FLASH.

They vanished.

Aurex exploded.

The Vault imploded in a scream of white-blue light.

Frost razored across the subterranean walls. Dozens of spires cracked. The explosion ripped through every cryo-seal, melting and freezing everything in a wave of thermal paradox.

BAM!

A blood-red portal tore open in a scorched meadow above the city. Kiro and Pablo shot out like lightning.

They hit the ground hard.

Pablo didn't move. He coughed blood—his body flickering, teleport damage rupturing his organs. His Dark Levithan aura flickered weakly.

Kiro barely caught his breath, body still trembling from the Omega absorption.

"Pablo…"

The system whispered.

Warning: Internal Stabilization Required — Omega Core Residue Detected in Host. Blood Evolution Pending.

Kiro looked toward the sky.

The entire side of Velmora's mountain was smoking, the spire half-collapsed. Aurex was gone.

But something told Kiro it was far from over.

"This power… it's not finished," he muttered

Far beyond Velmora, in the void-ringed citadel orbiting the planet, a sealed monitor lit up.

"Omega Detonation signature detected."

A voice spoke in the shadows.

"So the Blood God's successor is ready to play."

A second voice—female, amused, said:

"Then let's begin the Ascension War."
