The door slammed shut behind him with a sharp, echoing crack.
Emma and Hannah, who had been anxiously waiting outside, jumped at the sound. Emma reached for him instinctively, her eyes wide.
"Logan?! What happened in there?" she asked, voice full of concern. "Why do you look so…?"
But he didn't stop.
Didn't reply.
Couldn't.
He stormed past them, his steps heavy and directionless… until he found himself at the end of the hallway, shoulders rising and falling with restrained fury.
He shoved open the restroom door and stumbled toward the sink. His hands gripped the edge of the marble counter like it was the only thing anchoring him to the floor.
And then he looked up.
His reflection stared back at him… eyes hollow, jaw clenched, the veins in his neck visible from how tightly he held himself together.
Why?
Why is he never enough?
Why does she always choose silence over him?
Why does she still… after everything… look at him like he's a stranger?
