It was an exciting day for a group of toddlers that arrived at Mei Mei's house three days later, escorted by their parents who equally excited after they were informed by their children that they had a play date at the home of the owner of Hua Qi cakes.
When they arrived, the atmosphere surprised them. Small white tents had been set up in the between the garden and the swimming pool. Inside the tents, a children's tea party had been prepared.
It was a luxurious tea party, not a simple one where a girl and her stuffed toys sat around a table drinking out of tiny plastic cups. This was the epitome of luxury as far as children's parties went.
For starters before reaching the tents, the guests walked on a runway of pink rose petals. Mingzhu wanted floating petals but with the strength of the wind, they kept flying away so that plan was set aside.
