Judging from Thor's tone, although Heimdall still exists, he holds the status of a subordinate rather than a brother.
"He's shouting here, but Asgard can hear it too? What kind of technology is this?" Tony Stark was clearly more interested in the technical side.
Shouting on Earth, yet on the other side of Asgard's Bifrost, Heimdall could actually hear it and accurately guide them back to Asgard. Tony Stark was amazed by such technology.
It's no wonder Asgard is considered a Divine Grade civilization, far beyond Earth.
"But at the same time, it means Earth is under Asgard's surveillance!" Nick Fury said with meaning. "Asgard can monitor anywhere within the Nine Realms through Bifrost.
According to myth, Heimdall uses Bifrost to watch over the kingdom of the Titans to prevent attacks on Asgard.
Similarly, monitoring Earth is easy for them."
Tony Stark glanced at Nick Fury, knowing his paranoia was kicking in—trying to control everything.
But Stark had to admit Fury's concerns were valid.
An alien Divine Grade civilization watching your every move day after day—who wouldn't feel uneasy?
Though Thor always claimed no malice, malice might emerge in a thousand years, or in a thousand and one.
So… Stark himself was a little anxious.
After all, who isn't a little paranoid?
In Odin's bedroom in Asgard, Loki had helped sneak in Lauf, the leader of the Ice Titans, who was creeping closer to King Odin.
At that moment, Odin lay still, expressionless.
Lauf had entered the bedroom, while Queen Frigg drew her sword to confront him.
She managed to strike down one Ice Titan before being knocked to the ground by Lauf.
Lauf cast a disdainful glance at Queen Frigg, then approached Odin's bedside.
He pried open Odin's eyes and sneered, "They say you can still hear and see people around you. I hope that's true. Then you'll know your death was arranged by Lauf!"
He formed an ice blade in his hand, ready to kill Odin outright.
Suddenly, with a sharp cecj, Lauf was blasted backward by a barrage of energy beams, crashing heavily to the floor.
The attacker was Loki, second prince of Asgard and the god of trickery.
After striking Lauf with a powerful blow, Loki said coldly, "And you were killed by Odin's son."
As Lauf tried to rise and speak, Loki unceremoniously blasted him to ashes with a scepter strike.
Queen Frigg rose and ran to her beloved son, her face a mixture of shock and relief.
"You saved him!" she exclaimed.
Loki responded seriously, "I swear, mother, they will pay the price."
So far, the plan was perfect: the death of an Ice Titan would win the recognition of his mother and father and secure his future as King of Asgard.
With the title of righteousness, he could finally deal with his foolish older brother.
As for the dead Lauf—maybe his biological father by blood, but he never considered Lauf his true father.
Didn't Odin say it himself?
Lauf was born weaker than typical Frost Titans and was sent to die in the temple.
Such a person wasn't worthy to be his father.
Compared to Odin, Loki preferred to live as Odin's son.
Although Odin favored his foolish older son and planned to give him the throne, Odin's love for Loki and their mother was no less.
All this made the choice clear.
Loki would survive as Odin's second son and future king of Asgard, rather than become a blue-skinned monster returning to the cold, dark Jotunheim.
"What a righteous way to kill my father!"
A voice full of mockery suddenly sounded.
Loki spun around sharply and saw his brother and that monstrous Earthling standing outside the bedroom.
The teasing voice belonged to none other than Rowan.
Rowan leaned against the doorframe, looking at Loki with a teasing smile.
He couldn't help but sigh inwardly: though Loki's combat power was impressive, this righteous patricide was truly powerful.
When killing his own father, Loki was merciless.
When destroying his own older brother, he was ruthless.
If anyone Loki couldn't handle, it was probably his mother, Queen Frigg.
Seeing Thor, Queen Frigg immediately left Loki's side and ran toward her son, which hurt Loki's heart even more.
"Thor, I knew you'd come back!" Queen Frigg said, hugging him.
Thor just looked coldly at Loki, his heart consumed by anger.
Even the usual restraint of younger brother control was suppressed.
"Why didn't you tell her you sent the Destroyer to kill me and our friends?" Thor asked angrily.
"What?" Queen Frigg was shocked and confused.
"It was just to carry out Father's final instructions!" Loki said, holding the scepter.
"Brother, you've always been a brilliant liar!" Thor accused harshly.
"It's good to have you back. I'm going to destroy Jotunheim, the land of the Ice Titans!" Loki tried to persuade Thor to let go of his hatred.
In other words, he was trying to fool Thor.
He knew he had no chance of winning against Thor, proven countless times in the past thousand years.
Not to mention that terrifying Earthling.
If he couldn't appease his older brother, he stood no chance.
"Damn, damn mortal!" Loki cursed inwardly but kept his face calm to avoid angering Thor.
Most importantly, he didn't want to ruin his image in his mother's eyes.
That was the only thing he cared about.
