Zoe had a hard time sleeping that night and before she knew it, the morning light was peering through the window. She sighs, not wanting to get up and talk to anyone. Katelynn didn't go to bed either. Zoe stayed quiet, thinking for a few long moments. "She probably just stayed in Morgan and Addi's room." Suddenly Katelynn walks in, pulling Zoe out of her thoughts instantly. "I'm going to annoy you until you tell me what's wrong." Zoe meets Katelynn's gaze and sighs."I'm sorry about yesterday. My birthdays were never the best when I was a kid." Zoe explains as Katelynn's glare softens. She walks over to Zoe. "Can I sit?" Zoe smiles slightly and nods. "Sure." Katelynn sits next to Zoe and gestures for her to continue. "My dad left when my sister and I were young so we don't really remember him." Katelynn stares at Zoe feeling sorrow for Zoe's situation. "My sister died when I was 14." Katelynn stares at Zoe, her sorrow changing to shock. Katelynn runs the back of her hand across Madison's back although she's clearly still listening. After a moment, she speaks up again. "I'm so sorry that happened to you." Katelynn looks back up to meet Zoe's gaze. "It's not you're fault Kat. Don't apologize. I should be the one apologizing. I should apologize to the others." "Wait." Katelynn bursts out suddenly as Zoe gets up. "Can we just talk for a while…before you leave?" Zoe smiles slightly, sitting back down next to Katelynn.
