Seraphina opened her eyes and the floor beneath them opened and turned into a portal. Before she could speak, both vanished from Xandria's chamber.
Seraphina closed her eyes immediately as her hands grabbed the floor. She realized there was nothing but grass under her.
"You can open your eyes now," Xandria said softly.
Seraphina opened her eyes gently and realized she was sitting on grass. She immediately stood up and took a deep breath. "That was dangerous! I thought I was about to die."
Xandria beamed warmly. "You have nothing to be afraid of, look around you."
Seraphina shifted her gaze away from her immediately and stood in awe as she saw a couple laughing happily outside a thatched cottage. The wife was heavily pregnant and the man caressed her stomach lovingly. Clumsy livestock were walking around freely and the couple looked very happy.
"Is that…you?" Seraphina inquired softly.
