Andrea let out a sigh of relief as her son finally fell asleep, but what broke her heart despite Kai not crying anymore were the machines connected to him.
Gael had told her that now that his fever had reduced, he needed to be monitored closely before the surgery.
"Have this."
Andrea's eyes moved from her baby to the hand holding out a small cup of medicine. Then she looked up at Gael, confused.
"It will help reduce your fever," Gael explained.
Andrea immediately placed a hand on her head, and she was indeed burning up. How come she didn't even notice?
Taking the cup, she asked, "How did you know?"
"I'm a doctor; it would be strange if I didn't notice." Gael said and watched as she swallowed the medicine. His gaze then shifts to her stained shirt.
Noticing his gaze, Andrea also looked down at her shirt that Kai had vomited on and said, "I will call Kristen for a change of clothes, and I can also bathe here."
"Do you also plan to sleep here?"
