She stepped back as far away from him as possible and became afraid when he wanted to get close.
"Stay back!" she said, confusing him a bit as he stood watching her try to get away from him.
What did he mean by her blood was only his? That he was the only one that got to drink from it? It scared her to know that he also had—or planned—to drink from her one day.
Oh. This has all been from one bullshit to the next.
Romero quickly stepped in when Malachi refused to step away from her.
"Malachi, hold on. I think you should let me handle it from here, alright?"
Malachi's red-blood eyes gazed down at his friend, stopping him to check if she was alright and that bastard didn't do anything else offensive with her that might encourage him to tear his brains apart. His eyes then softened on her shaken form before stepping back.
"Make sure you bring her back home to me. Unharmed."
Romero nodded. "I promise."
