I swallowed down nothing. Nothing in the entire world would have been enough to prepare me for the next words that came out of his mouth. “Be my wife.”


I coughed and pushed him away,  standing up from the sofa immediately.

The surprise in his eyes was evident despite the mask he had on. “Why? Am I not a good candidate for you?” He asked calmly.


He stood up, and  before I could register what he was about doing, his right hand wrapped around my waist, his left hand around my neck.

“I'm neither asking nor requesting you to do it Serena, I'm ordering you to be my wife."

I frowned and shared a look with Becky who looked equally surprised. "What do you mean it would be nice if we splitted, we just got back together. Why the hell will you want us to split when it was you guys who came to me telling me I was the chosen one that was foretold in a not too known prophecy would save the supernatural world and bring balance to the world by bringing all breeds together?"


"Calm down a little coven sovereign." She pleaded.


My fury calmed a little when she started to explain. "I didn't say we should split and go back to the way we are before. I was merely trying to tell you that the work load seemed to be too much for you and king Zeeland."
