Camila ran at full speed along a rocky path, tears streaming down her face, flushed red with desperation. With every step, her ragged breathing mixed pain with exhaustion, but she could not stop. The night air was heavy, laden with ashes and the metallic scent of blood. In the distance, a faint light flickered like a beacon in the darkness. A solitary house stood on the horizon, its silhouette outlined against a sky stained red by a distant fire.
With her heart pounding like a war drum, Camila pounded on the door with all her strength. Her reddened knuckles trembled from fear and despair. A few seconds of silence felt like an eternity, until the door creaked open. Kutichay appeared on the threshold, his eyes reflecting surprise and concern. Without hesitation, he wrapped her in a firm hug, trying to calm the trembling that shook her body.
"Camila, what's wrong?" he asked gently, his voice full of warmth.
She sobbed against his chest, her voice barely a broken whisper."A demon… killed my grandparents and several of my friends… they tried to protect me," her throat closed with a knot of anguish.
Inside the house, the news fell like a lightning bolt. Daniel and Rosenda were paralyzed, their faces as pale as marble. Rosenda covered her mouth, stifling a scream of horror. Daniel, his eyes brimming with tears, clenched his fists in helplessness.
Suddenly, a burst of light tore through the cloudy sky. The dark clouds parted as if an invisible force had pushed them away, allowing the sun to bathe the land with a blinding intensity. At the center of that radiance, a figure materialized. His brown hair flowed in the breeze, framing his tanned face with a well-groomed beard. His red and brown robes floated as if gravity held no sway over him.
"Who are you?" Rosenda asked, her voice barely a thread, disbelief plain on her face.
The man smiled sweetly, his eyes radiating peace."I am Yeshua, also known as Jesus," his voice resonated in the air, wrapping them in an indescribable warmth.
The four friends were paralyzed with astonishment. Their minds struggled to process the impossible: Jesus, the very Jesus from the Bible, stood before them.
"Do not be afraid, my dear children," he said tenderly.
Camila fell to her knees, bowing her head in respect."What are you doing here, Master?" Camila whispered.
Jesus placed a paternal hand on her head."Just call me Jesus," his voice was soft yet full of authority.
Kutichay, still in shock, stepped forward with eyes shining with emotion."I can't believe it, you're Jesus! I'm your biggest fan, but… why are you here?"
Jesus let out a gentle laugh."Allow me to explain," Jesus said with a smile.
With a snap of his fingers, the air vibrated around him. Out of nowhere, four swords appeared, floating before them. Each one glowed with a unique radiance, their hilts adorned with angelic wings. Kutichay cautiously reached out and took his. Its blade gleamed in black and white, radiating a serene and powerful energy. Camila took hers, a sword shining in pink and red, pulsing with a comforting warmth. Daniel received his, wrapped in golden and yellow sparks, while Rosenda's emitted a mystical glow in shades of purple and orange.
"These swords represent the battle you will face against the demons," Jesus explained, his gaze full of confidence.
The weight of their destiny fell upon them like an inescapable mantle."Place the swords on your chests, and you will receive angelic armor," Jesus continued.
Kutichay was the first to step forward. As soon as the blade touched his chest, a blinding light enveloped him. When the light faded, a black armor with white lines covered his body. On its left side glowed the symbol of a golden fish.
Daniel repeated the process, and his armor emerged in a dazzling red and gold, with a cross engraved on the chest. Rosenda followed, transforming into an imposing figure with her pink and purple armor, adorned with the symbol of a bird. Finally, Camila felt the divine energy embrace her as she placed her sword on her chest. Her armor revealed itself in tones of gold, red, and white, with a lamb engraved in the center.
Jesus watched them with pride."These armors will help you face the demons of Lucifer, the fallen angel," Jesus said calmly.
At that precise moment, in a plane beyond reality, Lucifer roared in fury.
The spiritual realm trembled with his rage. He grabbed Ishnofel by the neck, his eyes burning like infernal embers."You have failed me this time, damn it! If you fail again, I will not let you live," his voice thundered darkly.
The demon fell to his knees, gasping, crushed by his master's gaze."Yes, my master… I will not fail this time," he whispered in fear, bowing his head in submission.
Fate had been sealed. The battle had only just begun.
