Wooyun felt a prickle down his spine when he heard this. "What about me not wanting to hurt others is curious to you…master?"
"I'm assuming you haven't lived an easy life since losing your father."
Wooyun froze.
"Your stepmother had rather interesting methods in raising you. You've faced rather harsh conditions and had every reason to fight back. To seek revenge, yet you never did. Why is that?"
Lee Wooyun stilled again, taken aback by Baek Junghwa's words. Everything about them was rude, tactless, and downright insensitive. Who asks a victim of abuse why they didn't fight or take revenge? Usually, the answer was obvious: because they were incapable of doing so, and Wooyun now realized how short-sighted he'd been when he first wondered the same thing.
