Chapter 110
"It seems some people are going to be busy soon..."
Now that he had a clear idea to change the ninja world, Uchiha Yuta felt more at ease. Stretching lazily, he muttered to himself, "I hope the ninja world becomes more interesting... otherwise, it's just too boring."
Bang!
Suddenly, a knock echoed through the office.
"Lord Hokage, many of the major and minor villages across the ninja world have signed the Konoha Treaty and expressed willingness to cooperate with us—but the Hidden Rain Village outright refused," reported Tsunade, who had hurried into the room.
"They refused?" Uchiha Yuta frowned slightly.
But thinking of the current status of the Hidden Rain Village, he relaxed. After all, that place was the Akatsuki's headquarters. If they actually signed the Konoha Treaty, that would be the real surprise.
As for Tsunade, her role wasn't just one of the Legendary Sannin anymore—she was now Yuta's appointed Hokage assistant, responsible for handling external affairs.
"It's worse than refusal," Tsunade added coldly, clenching her fists. "The leader of Amegakure—Nagato—killed several of our Konoha shinobi."
"Heh... then inform the others—we're declaring war on the Land of Rain," Yuta replied without hesitation. He glanced at Tsunade and said coldly, "Refuse the treaty, kill our people—you pay the price."
Of course...
What he didn't say out loud was that he had been wondering how to sign in at the Hidden Rain Village. And now, the reason had come right to him—war. If Akatsuki gets wiped out in the process, all the better.
"What?" Tsunade was dumbfounded. "We're starting a war... just like that?"
It felt surreal, like getting fired just for entering the office with the wrong foot first.
She recalled the days of the Third Hokage—Hiruzen Sarutobi. Back then, even if another village danced on Konoha's head, he would respond with a diplomatic smile and send gifts in return.
"That's right," Yuta said indifferently, lips curling into a smirk. "Besides, things are getting dull. Might as well spice them up with a war against the Hidden Rain."
"…Fine." Tsunade hesitated but nodded, sighing inwardly. Poor Amegakure… they just had to piss off this Hokage.
"Wait—hold off on the war," Yuta suddenly said, narrowing his eyes. "I can sense something… no need to go to them. The Akatsuki has come to us."
"Akatsuki?" Tsunade blinked. "You mean that mercenary group from the Rain?"
"No. The current Akatsuki is no longer a simple mercenary outfit. It's an evil organization made up of S-rank rogues from every nation."
Yuta placed his hands on the table, his voice growing colder. "They shouldn't have made a move yet… But to dare act now? Against us? They're either bold—or desperate."
"Could they be after the Tailed Beasts?" he muttered as the realization struck him.
Unlike the original timeline, the present-day Konoha housed four of the nine Tailed Beasts: the Three-Tails, Five-Tails, Eight-Tails, and Nine-Tails. If Akatsuki was planning to strike, their goal was obvious.
And with Nagato still obsessed with making Konoha "feel pain," this ambush made sense.
"Are the Tailed Beasts really worth all that trouble?" Tsunade wondered aloud. "The ones we've got are like lazy housecats—they barely move."
"They want to weaponize them," Yuta explained calmly. "Akatsuki's goal is to forge the Tailed Beasts into a superweapon and use that power to dominate the world."
He slowly rose to his feet, his eyes sharp as blades. "I was going to clean them out in their own village. But since they've come here—well then, they can stay here permanently."
---
Meanwhile, in a dark underground cavern within the Land of Fire…
"The distance is just right," Nagato said quietly, his voice cold and steady. "We strike from here."
"…Hmm," Konan replied, her face icy. But she hesitated. "Uchiha Yuta's power is overwhelming. I don't think we should act rashly."
"There's no time," Nagato said firmly. Struggling with the help of his mechanical frame, he continued, "I've completely mastered the Rinnegan. I can fight him now. But if he grows stronger… I won't even have a chance."
He sounded bitter. Originally, Akatsuki had planned to remain hidden for a few more years, quietly accumulating resources and wealth.
But the rise of a monster like Uchiha Yuta had thrown their schedule into chaos.
Now, they were forced to act early—to launch the tailed beast capture operation on Konoha now.
"...Sigh." Konan glanced at Nagato, whose body was barely functioning. Her heart ached. She knew he lived only to fulfill Yahiko's dying wish—to bring peace to the ninja world.
If that wish vanished, so would his will to live.
"Don't worry," Nagato said solemnly. "I don't expect to defeat Uchiha Yuta. If I can steal the Three-Tails, Five-Tails, and Eight-Tails, that will be victory enough. I'll handle Yuta personally."
"…Understood." Konan took a deep breath and nodded. "The Akatsuki members are in position."
"Good."
Nagato's Rinnegan flared, and his chakra surged through the cavern.
"The rise of Akatsuki begins… with the Tailed Beast capture plan in Konoha!"
