...

After seeing the expression on Rito's face, I simply sighed and walked away.Even if Rito tried to tell someone what I said to him today, there's no way anyone would believe it. Everyone in his class, except for Haruna herself, already knows exactly how he feels about her.

That's why, if a rumor were to spread, people would likely figure out right away that it was Rito, acting out of jealousy, who started it. That would only make him look pathetic, not just in front of the entire school, but also in front of Haruna. And that's something he would never want.

Besides, knowing Rito's personality, I doubt he'll tell anyone what I said. As for teaching him a lesson… I'd rather not. I have more important things to focus on.

With that thought, I made my way to the school cafeteria to have lunch with Lala and the others. As soon as I arrived, the girls rushed over to ask what Rito wanted.

"He didn't say anything strange to me. Don't worry" – I said without giving it importance.

Upon hearing him, the girls raised an eyebrow, their curiosity piqued by the conversation between Akira and Rito. What could Rito have said to Akira? Even Yami found herself interested. Just a few days ago, she wouldn't have cared about something so trivial, but ever since she'd arrived on Earth, she was beginning to adjust surprisingly well. She now found herself intrigued by things that had once meant nothing to her.

But since Akira clearly had no intention of sharing the details, the girls decided it was better not to press the matter further. He wouldn't answer anyway. So they went back to the conversation they'd been having before Akira arrived: "What kind of clothes do you like best?"

No matter the species or the planet, women always loved talking about clothes. Even Yami, who had never shown the slightest interest in fashion, now seemed somewhat engaged, answering the occasional question the girls directed at her. The mood was lively, full of laughter and teasing… but one person wasn't quite as cheerful as the rest: Haruna.

Ever since Akira had claimed that Rito hadn't said anything strange, Haruna had found herself increasingly curious and suspicious. Was that really true?

Since she'd started spending more time with Akira, she'd begun to notice how Rito seemed to pale in comparison. Could Rito be… jealous that Akira had a fiancée and he didn't? No… Rito wasn't like that. Then… could he have been talking about her? But that didn't seem likely either. Rito didn't show any real signs of interest in her.

So what exactly had the two boys talked about? Even though Akira hadn't said anything, Haruna had a strong feeling that if she asked him, he would eventually tell her. She just needed to find the right moment.

Meanwhile, someone else had also gone quiet: Yui. Ever since Lala had introduced herself as Akira's fiancée, Yui had stopped talking to him altogether. She'd come to believe that everything Akira had told her was a lie. He had tried to approach her several times over the past few days, but she always turned him away and honestly, she wasn't even sure why.

Yes, Akira had a fiancée, but… so what? Arranged marriages were rare nowadays, but not unheard of, especially in unique circumstances like his. Besides, it wasn't like Akira and Lala acted inappropriately in public. In fact, Akira had kept his promises: he now arrived to class early, paid attention, and even took notes.

He was doing everything he'd said he would. And what had she done in return? She ignored him.All because he had a fiancée?

Now, the guilt gnawed at her. She wanted to apologize, but doing it in front of everyone embarrassed her. And now that their group had grown, with Yami having joined them, Yui wondered if they'd already forgoten about her.

Even so, the least she could do was apologize to Akira. It was the right thing to do.She just had to find the right moment… When he was alone.

A few hours later.

A few hours had passed, and classes were finally over. Students quickly scattered, some heading to their club activities, others making their way home.

But for Haruna and Yui, today was different. They had something on their minds, something they needed to say to Akira. And for that, they had to catch him alone.

Fortunately, they saw him head to the bathroom right after the final bell rang. After seeing that, both girls had the same idea and rushed to wait for him just outside the door.

Lala, meanwhile, was waiting at the school gate, casually scrolling through her smartphone as she waited for Akira. Mio and Momioka had already gone home, not because Haruna had told them to, of course, but simply because neither of them were in any club. Haruna, on the other hand, was part of the gardening club, which, coincidentally, had a meeting scheduled today.

Although most of the clubs were based in the main school building, the halls were almost completely deserted at this hour. Those not in any club had already left, while the rest were tucked away in their respective rooms, discussing the day's activities or setting up for practice.

In other words, it was the perfect moment.

The corridor was quiet, the air still. Only Yui stood there silently a few meters from the men's bathroom door, with Haruna just behind her. Both girls were waiting for the same person: Akira.

"Kotewaga-san. Do you want to talk to Akira too?" – Haruna asked curiously.

At first she thought that Yui was heading to the punishment committee room, but seeing that she stood in the same place as her, it was clear that it was not so.

"Yes... I wanted to apologize to him for treating him so unfairly" – Yui nodded.

"Great, Akira-kun has been burdened with that topic all week and I also wanted to apologize to you" – Haruna said.

The topic of Yui had also worried her, but since she was busy debating with herself because of her recent feelings, she didn't have too much time to worry about Yui.

"Really?" - Yui asked curiously.

"Very seriously. He's been wanting to talk to you for days, but he always came back a little depressed saying that you hadn't wanted to talk to him" – Haruna nodded.

Hearing this, Yui became a little sad. She had been ignoring him like that not knowing that all he wanted was to make amends with her. Wasn't she a bad person all this time?

"Ah, forgive me, I shouldn't have said that!" – Haruna hurriedly said.

Actually, she didn't want to reproach her or anything like that, but her words might have been misinterpreted by Yui.

"No, don't worry. Actually, it's true, in fact, even I don't know why I got angry if there were no reasons, but when I heard that Sato-kun had a fiancée, I just got angry" – Yui said somewhat sadly.

Haruna was startled. Is it possible that Yui has some feelings for Akira and that's why she got angry? But it was impossible, until recently they were practically enemies and in such a short time Yui would not have been able to fall in love with him, although that does not imply that she has not begun to feel something for him and surely, Lala's arrival made that small hope of which she was not even aware, be crushed, causing her anger.

"Don't worry, I'm sure Akira-kun will forgive you" – Haruna smiled trying to console Yui.

"I hope so, but... And you? Why do you want to talk to Sato-kun, Sairenji-san?" – Yui asked.

"Me? It's a bit complicated and long to tell, but let's say Akira-kun and Yuuki-kun had a conversation this morning and I'm curious to know what they talked about" - Haruna said.

"Oh, I see" – Yui said.

Could it be that Haruna finally realized that Rito was in love with her and that's why she wanted to know what they both talked about or was it just curiosity? Now she was also curious to know what they talked about, but her apology was her current priority.

"Don't worry, whatever it is, I'm sure Sato-kun will have no problem telling you" – Yui said.

Haruna was going to say something, but suddenly, someone appeared out of nowhere. He was a tall figure, perhaps about 190 cm tall, thin, but his face was covered by a hood.

"It is possible that I will, but today I don't think is the day" – said the unknown figure.

Haruna and Yui were alarmed and even backed away in fright at the sudden appearance of that unknown figure.

"Who are you?" – Yui asked.

"Me? I am simply a mere assassin sent to kill your dear Akira-kun" – said the figure laughing.

Assassin? Kill? Did that man want to kill Akira?

Both were about to scream for help, but suddenly, the figure, making use of incredible speed, got behind them and knocked them unconscious, but before they fell to the ground, they were picked up and carried by the figure.

"Wow, I never thought I'd see you again, Konjiki no Yami" – said the figure.

As a former assassin, Yami's instincts were on a completely different level, so as soon as she felt the amazing murderous aura radiating from this man, she quickly went to the place where she felt such a presence, encountering the man who was carrying Haruna and Yui as if they were sacks of potatoes.

"Let go of them immediately" – Yami said frowning.

She had already formed two blades with her hair and her killing intent was directed directly at the man, who was amazed at the pressure he felt at that moment. How many people did Yami have to kill to possess such an aura? He didn't even dare to imagine it.

"Hehe, you may be stronger than me, but you definitely can't attack me, Konjiki no Yami" – the man smiled.

"What do you think prevents me from killing you right now and throwing your corpse into outer space?" – Yami asked with a look of absolute contempt.

"What prevents you from doing so are these two girls you seem to know, so if you make any strange moves, I'll cut their throats and you know that assassins don't hesitate to kill" - the man said.

"Assassins don't kill innocent people either" - Yami said.

"I know, but this is a special case. Akira Sato has you, constantly watching him and is also by the princess's side all the time. Do you know how difficult it has been to find the right time to kidnap them? At first I just wanted to kidnap the one with the blue hair, but since I have two at my fingertips: Why not add her to the list?" – said the assassin.

"Akira Sato is not someone you can deal with, so I advise you to release them now or when he finds out, he will kill you" – Yami said with a serious tone of voice.

"Wow. Who would have thought that the famous Konjiki no Yami, one of the strongest and most ruthless assassins in the entire galaxy, has fallen in love with a mere human and that this human is none other than the future King. You impress me, mixing with royalty will forgive all your crimes, but at the same time I despise you. Falling in love with a human, have you gone crazy?" – said the man.

He had been watching Akira all day and had perfectly seen the docile behavior that Yami showed to Akira, anyonel would realize that Yami had fallen in love with him.

"You... let them go!" – Yami exclaimed furiously.

"Hehe, that's not going to happen. Better tell this to Akira Sato. Tell him that I'll wait for him tonight on the roof of this school if he wants to get his friends back alives, of course" - said the man.

"Do you think I'll let you out of here?" – Yami asked.

"It's not a matter of you wanting to, it's a matter of whether you can catch me" – smiled the man.

Then, he took a sort of controller from one of his pockets and pressed a button.

"Shit!" – Yami exclaimed.

But it was too late as the man had already vanished into thin air with Haruna and Yui.

"What was that scream?" – Akira asked.

I was in the bathroom doing my business because I could barely hold back when suddenly I heard Yami screaming, so I hurriedly left the bathroom.

*Note: everything happened in a matter of less than 5 minutes. Who hasn't been in the bathroom for more than 5 minutes to relieve themselves?
